TFV4 Brand new TF-T8 Octuple Clapton Coils

Haha nice, I stopped by the local shop last night to see if they had the new coil head. I was pretty disappointed when they didn't have them yet Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

TFV4 Brand new TF-T8 Octuple Clapton Coils

I like unregulated mods because the resistance chooses my power level. For me lower the better... But considering the new heads come in at 0.16 ohms there won't be much difference other then a load of added flavor. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

TFV4 Brand new TF-T8 Octuple Clapton Coils

With my setup it's based off coil resistance. Being an unregulated device. 0.16 resistance would be 110 watts. Right now I go through a 30ml a bottle week @ 6 nic using the quad coil head @ 0.15 ohms Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

    New build

Thanks At first that was my view on the cap until I decided to try it, from my observation since a capacitor acts as a small battery, that unleashes it's charge under load resulting in not that big of a voltage drop. In a low voltage setup like these every little bit you can do to cut down...

    New build

This box was originally purchased from an online vendor. Originally came with a DPDT switch to switch from series or parallel. Which I might add the switch ate about 1v! With having rewired my first build to series I decided to turn this strictly parallel. So the work begins! Parts breakdown...

    Volt meter

Nevermind, over the course of the rest of the day. It sorted itself out. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    Volt meter

Couple pics of how it's setup Wired parallel, replaced the chrome fire switch with my black switch, added a 1000 microfarad capacitor across the batteries, and added parallel'd mosfets. Solid core wire used on the high current sections and stranded copper wiring used on low current...

    Volt meter

Got my unregulated box mod in today's vape mail. It was ordered off of a website, Came completely put together and is able to switch between series or parallel. I ended up taking it apart just to run it for parallel only since my old box was re-wired to series. Ended up putting in my parallel'd...

Are the high wattages really worth it?

Depends on your vaping style. With me for example, I always found myself trying to push out more power until I found a nice happy area to vape at. Which for me being a 0.15 ohm coil which is 117w. I tried pushing higher then that as well when I had rewired my box to series and ran the same 0.15...

Do you sub ohm or non sub ohm?

I sub-ohm 100% of the time, I havent been above 0.5 ohms in a long time

    How is this mosfit

Being a bit old.... But here's another way to do parallel mosfets that are heat sinked by solder. With them setup like this they have survived a 5-7 second short circuit after a RDA melted. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

On top, one leg gets soldered to the mosfet gate, and the other gets soldered to the mosfet source pin. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Edited: for spelling

    Custom Box Switch Safety

I like the idea, if you look at the basic shape of a pipe. You could fit a switch large enough to handle the amperage where you would traditionally load tobacco in a standard pipe. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    Custom Box Switch Safety

Necessary nah, unless you feel like replacing your for switch often. The reason for the mosfet is; it acts as a relay sending a lower amperage to your switch while applying a full current to the 510 (think relay) Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
