Most of the halo switches had built in resisters in them to prevent the LED from burning out. The switch will last if it is a mosfet box. I had wanted to use that exact switch in my first build but decided not to due to space constraints.

Do you need fuses? no, I left them out on my build because fuses add resistance reducing your overall power, but they do provide a little protection.
Wire? 14 gauge on the high current sections, and 20-22 gauge on the low current sections. Infact if you use 14 gauge with the FDV V4 510 you will...
Eh, I had one of those irons and a soldering gun at one point, I use a slightly modified Wal-Mart soldering iron these days on my box mods.

If you wire up a P channel mosfet as if it was a N channel it would just fire consistently like if you had a fire switch that has welded contacts in the on position.

Changed it up since I got another DIY in the works once the parts arrive. The new DIY (going to be wired for parallel) will be my EDC.
Rewired my current box to series with a 10v 1000 microfard capacitor. Came out a lot cleaner on the soldering this time.
First fired it using my 0.15 ohm...
Woot, got my vape mail in, 2 bottles of 70ml e-liquid got delivered earlier. Cherry Delight and Pineapple Passion. They're in the closet steeping now

I ended up breaking down and placed an order on a site for one of their boxes to tinker with. Comes with a volt meter in it, just will have to add in my dual mosfet setup and a capacitor in it.
Should be just like my home built box but in a much smaller size.

It is big, when I'm out and about I just carry it in my pants back pocket. I thought about going on to FT and picking up a case that's smaller and redo my current box into a new case.

Here's a shot of all 3.
Home built unregulated box w/ TFV4
Eleaf TC40W w/ Aspire Nautilus
Cloupor TC50w w/ Goblin RDA

I had one small issue though, where I go and press the fire button and nothing happens, but when you release the button and try to fire it again then it fires. Would that be a sign of a poor quality coil as well?

I have enjoyed mine so far, on my unregulated box it's got tons of vapor production along with gobs of flavor. Then again anything is better then the Aspire Triton I had before the TFV4.
