That 30mph limit was mentioned in a document that was issued back in February, wasn't the upgrade only recently done on this section, and if so then it is quite possible that the speed limit was also upped,especially as it was for this newer type of stock, I'm sure they must have done some empty...- Bobw1951

They did look very similar to Talgo type coaching stock, from what was being said over here, it was the 1st passenger carrying stock to go over that new piece of track, and they are saying it was travelling at 80-81 mph, but our news sources quite often get things wrong in the early stages.- Bobw1951

It's just as bad this side of the pond, except we get ours at the start of the Tax year which is at the beginning of April, those of us that have a company pension are a little bit better off, and of course our struggling NHS is free, as are medications when you get older- Bobw1951

Thanks but who turned the heater off :laugh:, last few weeks I was basking in 18°, got sunburnt, the sun is fierce down in NZL, high in the sky at 9am until 6pm, and I come back to having to wear socks in bed it's so bloody cold, went to bed at 4.30 and woke up at 11.30 and missed the few... -

About the same as here, where you couldn't smoke you couldn't vape, but then again they are about 5 years behind us but catching up quick, same old s h it on the TV about whether it is safer, only found a couple of decent shops, that knew what they were talking about, the others were mainly... -
