Good morning, Voltmaniacs. Well, 98 degrees yesterday. Kind of sucked the life out of finishing the deck so hopefully we will get some more done this morning. All we have to do now is put the planks on top. Since that is about 50 boards, it will be a big job. We will just have to see how...

Good morning, Voltpeeps. We are diligently working on the new deck. We have 3 more stringers to go and then we can start placing boards on top. Hoping Hubby wants to get this finished up today!!! Cross your fingers for me. It's already 85 degrees out and the horses are standing in their...

We are going hotter, too, Trit. Happy Father's Day to all who qualify. The load of lumber was heavy but fine. I decided, once the lumber was loaded, that I would have to come back for the concrete pavers. So I called my girlfriend who has a truck and she and I went back for the pavers...

We will probably just unload manually:) I'll be on the open 2 lane highway so I can pull over and let people pass me. The shoulder is firm and wide most of the way home. Traffic should be light on a Saturday. Yeah, it's certainly going to be the biggest load I have ever hauled.

I'm getting 40 2x6x16'. I'm also getting 20 twelve foot 2x6's. And 30 concrete pavers. So, 5 layers of 2x6x16', 3 layers of 2x6x12", then 10 stacks of three blocks each of the 12" concrete pavers. Hoping that will be enough to stabilize the load!!!! Also, will have ratchet straps that I...

Yes, and then when you get the puppy it is so much work!!!!! The constant "no don't touch that do play with this toy" was constant with the new terrier. Cash is growing up now and is 7 months old but still a handful! He still runs through the house. I've got a prize, I'm killing your...

I'm with awsum, Wuzz. Wish there was more we could do for you but you are in my thoughts as you two go through these difficult and distressing times. Raven, you are in my thoughts, as well. I hope you can regain some use of your right arm. Good morning, Voltmaniacs. Cash is very busy this...

I'm sorry to hear of DW having such big issues, Wuzz. So sad for your community to have such a tragedy at your doorstep. The guy sounds nutty. We are going to finish the door today although I will still have some trim work to do. We need to put in the handle and lock set. Put a spacer in...

Good question on the punishment/reward factor. When you train critters, the reward factor is important but the "bad puppy" has to be part of the equation, as well. You should have seen the look on Cash's face when I finally spanked him for being bad. I didn't hit him hard, I just picked him...

Did you get your high winds, awsum? SandySu, go on any adventures lately? How are the kids doing? Did the girl ever finish Jungle Book? Raven, thinking of you and hope your right arm will start improving! Today is the big day for installing the French doors. Wish me luck.

It all depends on what your doing in the photo. There is no privacy left and I have decided that is the way it is. Glad you had a good time and can't wait for photos.

Good morning, Voltmaniacs. I finally feel a lot better today. Hope I can keep it that way. Supposed to be a bit cooler today. I am hoping to go to the Home Depot and pick up what we need to do the door tomorrow after my cleaning job. Shouldn't take too much. Maybe I better make a list...
