Steam Monkey Product Updates and Discussion: Join the Troop!

Thanks Lance, that was a thorough breakdown. I've found that I'm overly attentive to things that don't matter much in the long run, when flavor is really the important part of the fun for me. I can imagine being bothered by not getting the usual warmer air, until I realized I was still getting...

Are they basically as good as a mini nova but just 'different' in the other obvious ways? If so, I'm in next paycheck.

Lance, I've heard good things about the Lavafire if the telescopic doesn't work out for some reason. I'll prob be getting one some time soon and reviewing it, since it seems like a brick ..... house. One thing I'm not sure about is what it will require, if anything, to fit a 18650 + a kick, but...

If anyone loses the connector on the ego twists I found that a few drops of super glue around the press fit and reconnecting it seems to hold better than new.

2013, the year of the Steam Monkey, triple contest!

Dammit, now I'm on the hunt for one of those cymbal monkeys. Creepy but I must have one. I need to get off my .... and do a couple photo bombs too.

Psyched about the pyrex. Any chance of mini vivi nova metal tanks in the future? I haven't had any problems yet with the plastic but just wondering.

New Orleans Brick and Mortar-Who wants it?

Happy New Year! Glad I got out of Nola early last night.

No I don't need it replaced or anything. I assumed you would be happy to do so. I also assumed it was probably a common issue, given the price, etc. I might try one from a different vendor to see if I can find a different level of quality, as I'm not sure these are 'real' twists, but I honestly...

Steam Monkey Product Updates and Discussion: Join the Troop!

Is it normal for the ego twists to have their connector disconnect from the battery from things like unscrewing it by the body from the charger, etc? Our first twist I chalked it up to getting bumped or handled roughly with a tank on it, but now I'm starting to wonder, since I just saw it give...

    Mouth feel...

Heh, I just mixed a FA cherry and FA apple pie mix that made my scalp have little tiny explosions all over it. Very weird like little tiny synapse reactions. Would that be 'head feel' ?

Very strong and strange bitterness in Blue Mist flavors, including RY4.5

Rob's Blackjack was on my order as well. So far it's not too bad, but I'm letting it steep. I'll come back to it after a while. As long as it doesn't have fennel in it. Blech.

    Blue mist?

Have you tried Mt Baker Vapor's juices yet? I'm going to make an order. They have a lot of good feedback, and not as many people have had bad experience as BMV. Their prices are really good too.

    Blue mist?

So far I like the cinnabun. I'm hoping to find a better one, but it does the job so far as a mix to other flavors. I haven't tried it by itself yet.

Yeah always extra shot, and VG. If it's too strong I'll just dilute. I honestly don't know if the evaporation is necessary, it's just something I do to drive off any solvents in case they are there. It should help mix things together too since you're getting things moving around in the juice.

    Blue mist?

The general consensus is that they need to steep for a while, since they are prepared fresh before shipping. I open them and put them in the top of a double boiler with the top off in about an inch of dry rice and heat them to no higher than 170-180F for about an hour. This should evaporate most...

    Salt?

Just a couple of drops of the kind of lemon juice you get at the store (5% dilution usually of citric acid?) per 5ml for fruit/sweet stuff, and about the same with apple cider vinegar or white vinegar in savory or tobacco flavors is the typical amount to add without noticing any vinegar or lemon...

That vanilla mint is good, and STRONG! I mean 1 drop in anything strong to add some mint. I haven't tried it by itself yet. Not brave enough.
