I've been making my own juice for over six months now, and have settled on a few flavors I love. I've cut back to 6mg/ml nicotine in my juice, but would like to try WTA.
Ordered some 24mg unflavored WTA juice from Aroma E-Juice, but I'm reading conflicting suggestions as to where to start, and...
After all the issues with the Smok m50/m65 and the m80, I would not trust any temperature control mod made by Smok until I hear LOTS of good things here first. There's plenty of good mods out there; no reason to buy the lousy ones.

Focalecig, because it's nice dealing with the same person when you contact them, and Doris will give you the straight scoop when dealing with delays or other issues. I still order from FT as they have a larger selection, but prefer Focalecig.

The IPV3 Li is a great suggestion - great mod with all the features available at this time (nickel and titanium TC, 200w max, touch sensor, magnetic door).

I love twisted kanthal and nickel for doing dual coils for TC. Have been running dual coils in my Goliath since I got my IPV4, and have been using 32g ni200 twisted with 0.4mm kanthal ribbon (what I believe is called a tiger coil). The kanthal adds some durability and support to the thin, soft...
My fiancée ordered the Sigelei 75w TC mod from VapeNW while I wait for the ipv d2 from 101vape. I already have quite a few dual 18650 TC mods, but I'm still looking forward to the Sigelei 150 TC.

I am the only vaper at my job, and there are also 3 smokers. However, vaping is popular at my job, as people often stop by my office to get a whiff of whag I'm vaping!

Preordered through 101vape today - looking forward to my first single-battery TC mod, and loving my IPV4 and especially my IPV3 Li so for $50 it was a no brainer. Fianceé ordered the Sigelei 75w TC, so will be reviewing them both when they come in!

I have the ipv4 and the ipv3-li as well as a VF V3 clone, and the ipv3-li is my favorite of the bunch. Upgraded to 200w and Titanium option, and it delivers a solid vape with nickel or titanium. The only thing I don't like is that the outside has a metal finish and they don't seem to sell...
I find with nickel twisted with kanthal I have to set the temperature lower than I would with pure nickel, likely due to the heat retention of the kanthal. I have my Goblin and Goliath both set up with my ideal build, both running at 325°F and registering 0.080ohm on my ipv4's: dual coils, each...
The nickel carries the current and the kanthal acts as support for the nickel. The kanthal may have a minor effect on the resistance, but overall it's just to prevent the fragile nickel from getting damaged.
To twist the wires together, cut two equal lengths and tie one end together with a...
For dual TC coils I've found 32g ni200 twisted with either 34g kanthal or 0.4mm kanthal ribbon to be the ticket to getting the resistance high enough without having super-fragile coils.
Good luck!

The Goblin is dual coil and has a pretty cramped deck, so if you want something simple I would suggest looking for a single coil design more similar to the subtank. The Subtank Mini has a rebuildable deck that is very simple to build on - the Lemo 2 (and original + Drop) are easy single coil...
In TC mode the rDNA40 does pre-heat, meaning it will fire at higher than the set wattage for a split second to get the coil up to temperature. That's why you're seeing the increased wattage.

This is a good point - the micro USB is for firmware updates only, not for charging. The IPV4 uses a 9v 2A charger which plugs into the round port at the top of the battery taco.
