How about a RBA carto that does not use filler :)
I designed one and turned it on my lathe, just waiting for the tank to test it in.
Shooting for it to be usable in any tank system as it is 9mmOD and 40mm long.
Would show a pic, but don't want the china seeing it yet :)
I should be able to...
Yes it is a 20mm OD x 15mm Tall pyrex tube, currently I have the baking sheet gaskets, I have 100 20mm and 100 21mm silicone washers to play with. Will have to try one of each set and see which one works best. I should make up some sets to hand out at vapestock :)
Dan
It could grip it by the husk!
It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut.
Oppps, sorry wrong parody :)
Dan
Correct, similar to maconi's design, but the coiled tube would be sealed at the end, and it would circle the wick and coil like a snake. The inlet would be held in place by a cutout in the cap. Fully removable and cleanable when the coil is disconnected. Could be made out of SS tubing.
Dan
From a manufacturing stand point it would be easier to make a 3D printed insert that that could change any cap into this design. And reduce the vapor chamber. I.E.
That look right?
Dan
LOL no problems, never took it that way. Hey, if your in a pinch you always have the trunk pull :)
I will make one, but I defiantly want to first work on the RBA catro I designed out of SS stock. If I ever can get back on my lathe. Monday was my oldest sons 2 hour sports dinner, Last night was...
Well heck if you want to hit all sides of the coil with air, think of a hose coiled up and closed on the end, and the inner part of the coil facing the wick would have holes in it all the way around, so when you inhaled all those hole force air onto every side of the wick. Probably would look...
LOL, keep it simple, heck no I want to invent a new wheel :)
I agree to a point, air flow is as important as wicking for great flavor. I am merely tossing out ideas on what Zen has stated, and investigating if a vortex airflow does improve flavor or subjective. My :2c:
It still is evolving and...
Hmmmm two channel paths off of one hole cut into the delrin?
The longer path would probably have to be larger and the shorter path narrower so the air flow would not take the shorter path, but not by much.
Dan
Ya know I went back and re-read his original post, and granted the first part was asking why we are trying to create a vortex in the cap and for what reason (which I did not answer, because I focused on the second part). The telling me in no certain terms that no matter where I drill the hole...
Well now, it looks like the vapor I preloaded in this contraption spins when I inhale....

Guess I need to make a cap, man I got to many things I need to make LOL
Next device I am making is a RBA carto...
Dan
I have already created a mockup using two tubes and filled it with vapor then inhaling at a top point (no fan rotating) the vapor swirls as it is being extracted from the container.
The purpose of creating a spinning action (vortex According to Zen) is that it increases the flavor of the...
