Mech mods are not electronic cigarettes

That's precisely what I meant when I said they're not synonymous... it works both ways :) "One does not need a mech to subohm [ed: in 2016]; one does not need to subohm on a mech."

RDA Velocity Mini Higher Ohm Build Question

Yes, sometimes. Honestly the biggest problem is the fact that it's dual only... sometimes I will do a single in-line build but usually even my higher resistance coils end up possibly a little lower than you're asking about just by virtue of having to be dual, which is no big deal for me. But...

    Help

Yeah, need more info, then we can help. Is it brand new or was it working previously? Have you tried more than one tank or atomizer?

@Dieseler thank you, I will definitely post back when I get it. It should be here Monday or Tuesday, along with tons of other goodies. Have to use some restraint, though... not my strong suit! I'll be trying everything out to make sure it's working, though, so all the mods and tanks and RDAs...

That's what I was thinking/hoping. I have plenty of other devices that will absolutely fit that tank, but I'm almost thinking they did the 22mm base and 23mm bubble at least partially for the Pico. I'm totally guessing, of course, but it makes a certain amount of sense considering how many tanks...

@TrollDragon I can't wait! I am almost literally buzzing with excitement. It's been a while since I've been able to afford such a high end device (not that I'm knocking my less-expensive ones, which have mostly served me very well, but this is another level). I got it for such a great price that...

Mech mods are not electronic cigarettes

The earliest e-cigs didn't have a screen. Is a device with a screen not an e-cig? The earliest atomizers used nichrome and silica. Is an RDA with stainless and cotton not an atomizer? Etc. Linguistics is a passion of mine. I am usually the first person to argue semantics when it's sensible...

    Unsolvable wicking problem

You may be wrapping your Scottish roll too tight, but I find that to be a kind of fad-ish wicking style and not particularly better than other ones which less cotton. Personal preference, certainly, but it could be contributing to the issue here. Make sure your cotton is not so tight that the...

I'm sure with some folks. My issue was accidentally trying to use non-TC wire in TC mode, so no more problems here :)

@Jim_ MDP I'm sorry, I did not phrase my last question correctly. I meant more "even though I am probably not, let's just say I was using stainless for the sake of that question," because I know some people had trouble when actually using stainless in mods with a similar board. (Although I...

    Eleaf iStick "pico"

By the way, having a small issue with my Pico but I know there's a simple solution and I know I've read about this before but I just can't find it. I have a SS coil on there but it's dropping out of SS mode as it's firing and reverting to wattage. Anyone remember the fix to this? It's something...

No problem. I honestly think that is your best bet at this point, just to be sure. I would personally recommend staying above .1-.12 in TC mode on the Pico... even a tiny bit higher. TC mode works quite well but obviously can't fire any higher than 75W, so if you go too low the ramp up takes...

I've had a tiny bit of issue with one of my Griffins and the connection to the Pico, but that's it, and I think it's more the Griffin itself. My other Griffin connects just fine. It's a spring loaded connection and I've had no other problems. I actually have a second Pico coming.

I think maybe you are getting your wires crossed a little, figuratively. When I plug those numbers into steam-engine, I get a 0.8 ohm outcome, not 0.08. To get the latter figure, it would essentially be... 1 wrap. 0.8ohms is far more acceptable on the Pico, and a SS coil can be used in wattage...

    Eleaf iStick "pico"

I agree completely with @Fozzy71. Besides what he said, I also doubt you'll get a very satisfying vape down that low on the Pico, even in TC, and even if it can technically accept a .08 in TC mode. I'm still a little confused as to how a well-built SS coil is quite that low, too...

    Are you done stocking up?

I won't be done stocking up until I literally can't purchase stuff anymore. But I did just make a bunch of orders that will basically have me set if everything fell off the market tomorrow. So... yes/no.

Mech mods are not electronic cigarettes

So much this. It's just too late. And calling a mech "not an electronic cigarette" is no better than calling it one. What else is it? Despite what some people here think, it's certainly not a "pipe bomb." I don't know what else mechs are besides e-cigs/PVs/mods/whathave you. I will personally...

    Hi Newbie Here, quick question

You shouldn't really worry if it's not too much juice, but yes you should get rid of it. Ideally you should have tried to wipe out what you can immediately after it happened (i.e. don't let it sit when this inevitably happens again in the future), but unless there is some kind of crack or defect...

Mech mods are not electronic cigarettes

This is really ignorant of the history of electronic cigarettes. If it weren't for mechs, we'd have nothing of what we have today. The first mods were modified flashlights, mech only. Saying a mech is not an e-cig is saying a square is not a quadrangle, IMO. It is merely a matter of...

Battery Musing: Any set of married batteries can be used in any mod

Helpful! Based on the first post and subsequent, am I right in saying that if you have a married trio, you could theoretically remove one from the set and still have a married pair? Basially the same as splitting up a duo for single use, yes? (I hear you though, no remarrying.)
