    Best bet with a fresh clone is to fully disassemble the switch (DO NOT LOSE THE TINY RICE PIN) and clean/scrub everything thoroughly, many times this will improve the crunchiness that the stingrays are sometimes prone to. If its still crunchy you can try a tiny drop of some type of LIGHT...

    Hmm, if you've cleaned all the contacts and the battery is fresh off the charger/fully charged, maybe try checking the tightness of the screws holding the coil leads, as they can sometimes loosen up causing firing issues. Do you have access to a volt meter to check continuity on the mod/verify...

    You can still use them, anything 1.5ohm resistance or higher should be fine, they should be able to safely power most 'standard' clearos etc (1.6-2.2ohm range usually) at normal voltage ranges. No idea what kind of actually battery life you'll get out of them. Or as Susan said, buy a flashlight...

    It's basically impossible for the contacts on the nemesis to "go bad"(except maybe melting the 510 insulator, plating could peel off, but unit would still fire), and the likelihood of both the Kana and the Nemi going bad on the same day is also very low, there has to be something else at play here.

    I'd be willing to bet a thin coating of Noalox or Ox-gard on the tube threads would solve the problem. Chain hardware stores (such as Ace) usually have Ox-gard, many chain home stores (Home Depot) will have Noalox.
