Why do I want/need temperature control?

It modulates the wattage to maintain the desired coil temperature, so generally it will initially fire at maximum set wattage (or in the DNA200's case whatever you set your "punch" to) then will vary the wattage (usually down) to keep at or below the set temp, not matter what, ie it will push it...

Why do I want/need temperature control?

That's an interesting point regarding low wattage vaping and TC, translated to TC you would likely be a low temp 350f-370ish vaper and your wattage setting would only really directly effect your ramp up time (as that's mainly all it does in any TC mod). 99% of the time i vape at .16/440f @ 30...

Why do I want/need temperature control?

Lets take it all the way off the rails...lol Buggy-whip appears to be synonymous with horse-whip, but i see what you're saying. On a completely UNinteresting note, it was not uncommon (though pretty damn mean) to attach a small piece of wire to the tip of the whip to give it extra "bite". My...

Why do I want/need temperature control?

Yeah, totally, since it was an American company who actually brought the first working TC to market, then the avalanche started... You surely must've been a buggy-whip salesman in a previous life.

    Vaporshark DNA200

Considering the original RDNA 40 is only .95" thick i HIGHLY doubt its 1/2" thinner than that, unless they turned the chip sideways (which would create a multitude of headaches, i assume it's forward facing), you couldn't even fit the chip inside the case. Though looking at the render pics, its...

    Vaporshark DNA200

The DNA200 should fire instantly from sleep as soon as you push the button, so no 5 clicks (unless locked) required, though if it sits long enough it will display the boot screen/custom screens when it wakes up, but it fires with zero delay (based on my 200's behavior).

Just ordered a Hana v200-questions-anyone have one?

They tell you to "register" it because they want you to immediately connect it to Escribe and update the firmware. Also a chance to see how interesting the software is, otherwise many people would never connect it and learn what the chip can actually do.

    e-cigarette Wikipedia article needs help

FWIW there already are ceramic covered coils on the market, they're called 'vaping donuts' and in their current iteration, based on most every review i've see, they don't work very well. Building a "hana" style mod with the fasttech enclosure: looking for tips, tricks, and suggestions

Well, it took 9 months as my daily driver but i finally had to do some maintenance/repair work to my cana box build. One of the C&K tacts (fire button obv) started getting wonky and would not always fire the mod. The fix took 10 minutes and ~$1.50 in parts, so can't really complain, though the...

Attn all electronics gurus (not vape related, but need a hand)

Believe he is referring to a clamp style meter for measuring current flow in an already completed circuit, ie there are no connections to attach leads to/measure from. Sorry no ideas where to find one with the specs u need though.

What's up with companies starting to put the contains known state of California cause harm?

Assume it's a requirement if u intend on selling your product in CA. I would bet people from CA don't even notice them anymore since EVERY single thing on the planet seems to cause cancer according to CA, and has to carry that warning(ie even coffe shops have to display one).

So We're Making a Flavor, Yeah.

Wouldn't be the first time Clark worked on one. When i was over a the Nuthouse Mothership for their 2nd anniversary, i pulled an old bottle out of one of Clarks 'Magical Desk Drawers' that had a name i didn't recognize (don't remember it currently), but he said it was an early cereal vape, and...

    how does TC work

If you're going to make statements like this, please produce said research/actual information, because you seem to have found some magical information that the VERY well read members of these forums (especially those who use TC and have for quite a while at this point) have missed. There has...

    Only $8.75 a watt :O

After giving it a closer look, the contact system on the rail looks like a guaranteed nightmare when it comes to proper/consistently accurate resistance readings, which is obviously critical in TC devices. As soon as those contacts get contaminated with juice/condensation/tarnishing you're...

The clones were up on FT just within the last few days, now they seem to have disappeared. FT seems to be about the only Chinese retailer that pays any attention to Cease and Desists, apparently. Sure they'll show up on Focal at some point, they don't seem to be as easily intimidated.

    HCigar VT200

This is accurate. A close friend runs the advertising dept for a major furniture/electronics store (Berkshire owned, has a Midwestern state in its name). They sold something like $17 million dollars worth of Apple products last year and made ZERO profit on it. Why do they do it? They'd...

    legionaires disease

Just got back from NYC where this was all over the news. Considering there are only a hundred or so cases with around 10-12 deaths (as of yesterday) in a city of ~9million, its something to be aware of, but not really something that i think people (especially outside the effected boroughs)...

When will they get it right ?

These are'nt cheap and with today's technology working fine on mobile phones, computers and TV's what's going on ? Uh, wut? Phones are constantly screwing up, modern flat screens under 1.5k have about a 60% failure rate at the 2 year mark, and computers, well, lets not even get into how whacky...
