you can lock the device itself with 3 clicks. anyone know how to lock in the resistance? there's no "up" and "down" button to simultaneously press....

KMG Imports claims they have these in stock. Can anyone verify?

    Smok Alien

I'm not getting that great a discrepancy, but I don't think my Alien is reading starting resistances accurately enough; to get my TC working well, I have to adjust the ohms every time. Upshot of Smok devices is that they have that feature to begin with.

no doubt I like the DNA chip, but you really need to know what you're doing, especially if the mod manufacturer didn't program in the basic parameters. And even then, manufacturing variances can result in small inconsistencies in internal resistance, which will affect TC performance. plus, all...

    Sigelei 213 owners thread

The 213 works as my BEST TC mod! Let me explain...I use Pt950 wire for my coils. The TCR for Pt950 (95% platinum) is different than 100% platinum. the SS304 mode on the 213 doesn't really work for actual SS304 wire, but it nails the platinum/ruthenium wire I use better than anything else. I have...

while the vast majority of my coils are platinum (since platinum wire is infinitely reusable), the cotton tests were done with SS316.

ok, since I'd been enjoying my 213 mods BECAUSE of the way the temp control has been working on them, I decided to run the cotton test. Here's a video I took - the actual test is about 10 minutes in, and after the cotton wick tests, don't bother watching - I just start rambling :P

Barrel Coils: Joyetech Notch Coil, iJoy TSS Coil

well..... the ramp time is crazy short, even at low wattage. I'm vaping mine at 25 watts, even though it's recommended at 40 watts. I like a cool vape. it has a LOT of surface area but is extremely thin. This is NOT a coil you'd want to hit with a lot of power; it's almost like a stainless...

    Subtank RBA builds? show em!

unfortunately I didn't take pictures, but I did do a 45min youtube tutorial :p I'm pretty sure that few, if any, are wicking the Kanger RBA the way I am...but it's the only wicking method that I've tried that doesn't either flood or give me dry hits.

    Aromamizer RDTA by Steam Crave

I love/hate this thing. I own two; if I really like something, I'll buy another as a spare. It took many tries until I got the wicking right, But it's a "moody" tank - sometimes it'll belch out cloud after cloud of thick flavorful vapor endlessly, sometimes it just vapes dry and thin...and this...

    platinum coils

I found a working TCR to use TC with this platinum wire: 0.01042. The number I kept finding was 0.00392 but that doesn't work when programmed into my RX200, most likely because that's the TCR for 100% pure platinum, and I'm using 95% platinum, which has a higher resistance. The TCR of 0.01042 I...

    platinum coils

ok, I just did some research. platinum/iridium and platinum/rhodium are soft. since platinum/ruthenium works similarly to titanium and kanthal wire, I'm going to guess those two will be a bit flimsy to work with when making coils. The best hardening allow is platinum and nickel, but then you run...

    platinum coils

(for those who don't know) there are several different types of platinum that's commercially available. the platinum is either 90% or 95%, and the balance is usually iridium, ruthenium, or rhodium. there are small differences in how each type of metal behaves in terms of resistance, workability...

[HELP] Aromamizer: Flavor just isn't there

regardless of your build, try this: put the deck and base onto an ohm meter, or wherever you mount it to build your deck. Do a rough wick, then fill the outer saucer with juice. you'll be able to see how fast the juice is wicking, and trim off cotton as appropriate. don't leave too little...

    platinum coils

$15-20 per coil. That's pretty reasonable pricing, given that the coil will effectively last forever, and if it's done...the coil still has some value and can be sold to anywhere that buys precious metals and melts them down.

    platinum coils

I have concluded my first round of tests using platinum wire and I am satisfied enough with the results to say that this is a viable option for building decks with. The idea was to use a metal that will not oxidize at any temperature. My first experiment was with 24kt gold. Gold has such a low...

    KangerTech NEBOX

nope, can't get Ti coils to work at all. The mod either won't give enough power to fire the coil....then bump it one degree or 0.1 watts, and then it's like a runaway train with power, billowing with steamy hot vapor. I've never held the button long enough to find out where THAT will end up...

    KangerTech NEBOX

I've been pretty happy with my Nebox - I've purchased a second. I've had zero issues with leaking and in terms of design, I love how compact it is and the tank capacity, although I'm feeling that ALL tanks really need to evolve into top-fill designs. I like the SSOCC Ni200 coil; much better...
