TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Yes NiFe52 is the winner. NiFe70 is still going to be a great wire, and we should remember that the differences in theoretical accuracy between 52 and 70 are not necessarily going to be noticeable in day to day vapes. So it will be interesting to see, once both 52 and 70 are available in vape...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

That's exactly what we've been discussing the last few days. Ni200 is not the most accurate material for TC vaping. It is in fact the least accurate material. The most accurate material - or to use @vapealone 's generalisation, the most sensitive material, is Titanium. Shortly followed by...

Awesome thanks, I'll definitely give it a go!

Attack of the (Kayfun v4) Clones!

Thanks very much @TrollDragon ! I will definitely get that glass when I'm next putting in an FT order. @KTMRider oh OK thanks, that sounds interesting. And that works for stable temperature control as well?

Footoon Aqua FX - coil-head tank and RTA; top fill; 3ml and 5ml

Right well I definitely will be getting one, because he just told me he's going to send me one to review for the forum :) I will post it up in full detail as soon as I can!

Footoon Aqua FX - coil-head tank and RTA; top fill; 3ml and 5ml

OK, got a reply from Footoon, with a new video and not the best news for us RTAers It looks like there is no plan for an RTA deck. I guess I misunderstood when it was first posted - he mentioned details of coil rebuilding, but he doesn't mean a deck. Instead, what he has done is made the coil...

Footoon Aqua FX - coil-head tank and RTA; top fill; 3ml and 5ml

Nope and nope! :) The Aqua SE is £60/€80/$80, and that will be the upper limit to the price I am sure. You'd think for a replaceable coil tank he'd try and go a little lower, but I don't know. I'm going to take a bet on £50 / €70 / $70 with coil heads being double the price of normal ones (£5...

Still no word on the RTA deck. In the meantime, a couple of promotional pictures from Footoon to keep the thread alive:

Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

Yeah at the moment I'm only able to press fire about half the time. It generally always works if I make sure to use my nail or the end of my finger, but just using the mod normally it's 50/50 whether it presses. Annoying - hopefully it will loosen up. If need be I'll take it apart, but would...

Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

Hmm, how is the fire button for you guys? Mine is not good at all. Almost no travel at all, and it's now jammed about three times. Fortunately it doesn't auto-fire, it jams in a way that doesn't fire. But that makes it impossible to press until I wiggle it. When I first got the mod out I...

Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

Another thing I really like: no flashing "Temperature Protection" message, blocking out the screen. Instead, the addition of the letters "TP" in the gap in the middle. Very smart, again the best of both worlds. I'm starting to like Apollo's engineering! Their partnership with SXK is a...

Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

Mine's just arrived. And I can immediately add another thing improved over the SXK. A big improvement, and one that that I am 99% sure that Apollo are responsible for. It's something I love: This mod has finally moved away from the Evolv/DNA 40 - and also Yihi - system of having temperature...

Attack of the (Kayfun v4) Clones!

Thought I'd finally stick my nose into this thread. After 6 months of vaping without having tried a single of the famous Kayfun family, I finally bowed to the inevitable a few weeks ago and bought the Infinite 1:1 clone from a UK vendor. Liked it quite a lot, so a week ago I bought the...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Yeah that's probably most likely - they didn't want to do a Dicodes and try and pioneer a wire at the same time as trying to pioneer a technology. Which was either smart of them, or short sighted: maybe a requirement for a wire available from only one place would have greatly stunted TCs...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Yes exactly - the base resistance is the only factor, TCR is almost completely irrelevant. Thanks for the formula, that's helpful.

New Squape Rs 1:1 clone by SXK

Have you tried warming the juice to thin it, like Cindy mentioned last night? If we can use her fill method no problem with 70%, then maybe warmed 90% would work in the same way.

Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

We know they've added mech mode, and provided a shortcut/menu for switching between VW, TC and the new Mech. That at least is a good addition - I hate how on the DNA 40, and thus its clones, you have to scroll through temperatures to OFF to go to VW, then re-set the temp afterwards to go back...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Yeah I posted a conspiracy theory a few days back - Evolv chose Ni200 because with its curve, they figured it was harder for other mod makers to implement/copy. They didn't choose a linear wire like Titanium or a NiFe because they figured that was too 'easy'. No idea if it is true, hence...
