    i wouldn't worry too much about it, i've been cleaning my coils like you (dip in water) for months with 0 issue. I'd use a regulated mod though just to be safe, and if they're not very gunky i usually dry burn and use a toothbrush (don't brush your teeths with it afterwards though XD).

    My favorite and only single 18650 mod i own is my aspire nx75 (or evo75), it was my first apv and i still like the looks of it even if it's banged up.     I do direct lung inhales and barely ever keep it in. I don't need lots and lots of puffs either usually a couple at 6mg lasts me for an hour at least,if i use 3mg i either take bigger puffs or vape more.

    1. claptons are knowned for slow ramp up and cooldown times so it's 100% normal 2. even gunked up dosen't mean you should replace them, just clean em they'll last forever that way.

    Unfortunately all i can tell you on this is check your connections make sure there's no hotspots on the coils. If those coils are stainless a resistance jump while vaping could be normal as stainless has a tendency to do such things.

    Simple answer no,it's just like any other cotton (although opinions will vary). cut your tails correctly fluff the ends and place it correctly in whatever rebuildable you're using, you should be fine though the first couple hits always have that little cotton taste.
