Im curious as well but its the battery life reports for the mass produced ones that turn me off. Ive also heard they are using very cheap LiPo's.
If i do get a LiPo version one day, its definitely going to be with a higher capacity battery that you can swap and charge externally.

In that case, i would consider the Reuleaux DNA 200 unless you want to get into a higher priced LiPo mod from a smaller company that doesnt sell mass produced mods. That way you can get a higher capacity LiPo which will probably be better quality.
Im really loving this Reuleaux though. Triple...
I would assume at the worst, you will fry the board. There certainly is a reason every battery catastrophe we have seen reported is from a mech or hybrid and not the IPV, Sigelei and Smok device that evey novice uses.

Thats my point. You are going to fry the mod making it useless before you vent your batteries. And thats on something like an OKL board. On the mods most people have, it wont even fire. Either that or the watts on your display are not the watts you are vaping.

How many watts though? Most people I know with DNA LiPo mods are charging two to three times a day. This is why I went with the Reuleaux which I'm using with triple 3000mah 18650's. If I went the LiPo route, I would be thinking about something like the 1850mah Mad Modder box at the very minimum...
I do not support clones because doing so hinders innovation. It also gets people screwed over in the buy/sell groups who wind up with a clone that they thought was going to be authentic.
You don't have to spend $120 to get a good atty. Alliance, Buddah, Temple, Twisted Messes and Mutation X are...
While i cant find a tool to calculate N90, I did just calculate a 14 wrap build with N80 at 130w. The heat flux reads at 216 mW/mm² which is very good. Perhaps the Velocity just cant handle those higher watts. I dont know. Never used one.

I love the Alliance. Good flavor, great airflow and a lot of accessories come with it. I have the 28.5mm version which looks nice on the Reuleaux.

I would let your friends know about it. Its the big talk in the Facebook groups. I pulled this from the Reuleaux group.

I have the DNA version and love it. Although I did have to take it apart and perform a simple fix. There is a flaw in all of them where the ribbon sits directly under the fire button and gets pushed in every time you fire the mod. Over time this could cause the ribbon to break contact. I lifted...
Even if the temp control doesn't improve, ill get one anyway as a work beater. I've never been a fan of temp control anyway. Building is a great big hassle and I prefer kanthal and nichrome anyway.

And who knows. There might even be better by next year. In the end, its all about what keeps you off cigarettes. I was only pointing out that there certainly is a reason why some mods cost a lot more.
