What gauge of wire do you use?... and why?

Don't let that stop you from experimenting. Yes, physical contact with the wick is less with higher gauge wire... but that isn't the whole story. See the larger gaps? Liquid does go into said gaps, so the overall surface area that is vaporizing liquid is much higher with 22g. Seriously, just...

What gauge of wire do you use?... and why?

Glad to help! A larger diameter will help with wicking (because it is a bigger hole for the liquid to travel) but there are a few other things you can try out as well. Make sure that your wick is making contact with the coil. It should be snug but also be able to be pulled out without moving...

What gauge of wire do you use?... and why?

More surface area is generally good and I'm actually with them for increasing surface area, but in a different way. Increasing your coils diameter will actually increase your surface area (think larger wraps). I say use less wraps because by using a larger diameter, you will use more wire...

New member, old vaper. Juice rant.

It could possibly be the way your build is or the type of flavorings/bases used. If done right, even super low ohm builds should not be harsh. Could be the atty design or the type of power delivery. A regulated mod pushing around 4 volts is not the same as an unregulated mod pushing around 4...

Mods u started out with and mods u'r currently using

I started with the classic eGo and carto tank... ...and now I'm on a parallel 18650 box mod and a dripper (usually the Doge with copper posts). I've evolved quite a bit over the last 4 Years.

What gauge of wire do you use?... and why?

My daily driver (and cloud comp champ) is a fused clapton. Same concept but flattened a bit and something else may be different but they are basically the same. You might need to practice wicking. I personally think that wicking is harder than making a coil. Why? Because you can see when a coil...

What gauge of wire do you use?... and why?

Advantage? More room for wick, less wraps, and sometimes better overall performance. There are a lot of variables so a straight cut answer is impossible. I do believe it would be worth a try. I believe that I have a 4mm diameter on most of my coils. I just use random size screwdrivers and...

What gauge of wire do you use?... and why?

The inside of the coil. Try changing up the size of whatever you are wraping your coils around. Try something thicker and use less wraps.

What gauge of wire do you use?... and why?

For standard, plain coils? 22g. I tend to have several different sizes and types of wire on mine at the same time... I'm crazy like that lol I suggest experimenting with different diameter. 9 wraps with 22g seems excessive to the point where I think your diameter is too small.

Help me with my vaping experience

There are a lot of factors. Coil diameter, coil length, size of wire, type of wire, type of wick, amount of wick, air hole alignment with coil, amount of air flow, type of atty, number of coils, amount of surface space... I could go on and write a book. Do you have any friends that could sit...

    Mech vs Varible devices

Swimming with floaties is ultimately safer... but I'm sure the majority of you don't use them.

    Safely Vaping.

I see that. He must have edited it soon after posting or my lack of sleep has caused me to misread it... Though, I swear it didn't say two 20a batteries before... That said... I think the OP needs to read up on electricity before proceeding any further.... and I have no clue what a "Tuglyfe...

    Safely Vaping.

0.15 Ohms on a single 20a battery? Short answer, no. You'd need at the very least a 30a battery... but even then, you are pushing it. I would recommend a dual battery box mod for something like that.

    Mech vs Varible devices

I personally only use unregulated box mods. Both parallel and series. Not a complete direct connection, always use a MOSFET. Made in America, made locally or made by me. I've yet to find a regulated mod that can give me the same vape... they all seem cheap.

    High amp batteries

Oh no! Really? Darn. I guess the Sony VTC4 and LG HD2 stay on top... :/ Two of them handle my 0.1 ohm coil builds like a champ, though having them in parallel is almost like cheating and almost any battery would do good enough..

    High amp batteries

I don't think amperage is the issue. It could very well just be the type of metal of the device. I assume the 'hells gate' is some type of mechanical mod? I would look over your coil builds as well as dual coils are typically better than you described. Resistance with two coils in parallel...
