    Great example Mike! Willy, see how these boards have the current limiting resistor in the board? Ensure your COBs have them......

    I'd have to see the board to be sure but..... Less are diodes, as soon as the forward voltage is reached (3V or so each) they act like a dead sort, so NO, they DO NOT pull just what they need. You will need to ensure they have an appropriate current limiting resistor in series with each COB...

    I've played with many, and getting super hot is normal. Like Mike said, heat sinking is the way to go. Binge watch some bigclive (the world's greatest authority on all things LED).

    I use twisted kanthal/nickel often, it works really well. My favorite is 30g for both. I've been meaning to work on a custom curve for ages but never seem to get around to it. I just set temp to taste......

    Had mine about a week, in black. Love it, but I love them all when they are new. Great flavour, easy to build, small tank, burns through juice. Bubble "glass" is plastic, smokey black.

    Yes the Orion rebuildable looks a lot like the boxxer. The Orion rebuildable is reported to be low cost, like $30. I do wonder where the air is going to come from though?

    The first con for me is the housing you use to fire the coil won't screw right down on my tab.....the corner fouls on the lip.....but it does make connection so all good..... Very easy to build and wick.....this is a 3mm 316L Clapton When it came to filling there was a problem. It's natural...

    Here's the one I made for my billet boxes. I used header pins instead of wires. The pins fit nice and about in the main board. Man my soldering looks bad this close up! But the board works well.....
