NOOOOOOO, If you torch the coil and squeeze it a little with your tweezers, (Leave space though, just compress a little while its glowing). NEVER dry fire the OCC head coils. (RBA, yes, dry fire it up). The OCC heads have rubber insulators on the bottom and if you dry fire, the coil can heat up...

    rebuilding

Well, if you heat up the coil, and the legs and make them glow (With a torch lighter NOT dry firing) it will prevent 99% of hot legs. (Do this after wrapping coils and holding with pliers)

    rebuilding

Yeah, you don't have to take the press fit off. When you put your coil down in the top hole of the OCC, slide the little blue screwdriver through the airflow hole, through the coil, and out the other side of the airflow hole and it will stay secure and in the correct place while you put the...

    rebuilding

Only thing you gotta worry about is the wicking lol. THAT's the hard part. Having the right amount for the type of juice you use. More cotton for 50/50, less for Max or High VG (It's possible).

I actually did a "walk-through" with a new member on here on rebuilding the OCC head, and it was very easy they said. @kitten182

Why does everyone have problems with Max VG in RTA/RBA/OCC

Touche'. Also, As I stated earlier, I can vape my MaxVG out of my stock .5 OCC head, AND a rebuilt .6OCC head, AND my .7 RBA build.

    Complete paranoia? Reflection needed

These kind of people will always exist, in every aspect of life. Pretty much just have to get used to it, and embrace the fact there will always be "those" people.

    Kanger Subtank Plus Splash???

Also, the quicker it wicks, the more juice is on the coil to heat up. If there is too much juice on the coil, it will "splash"/"spit" at you I'm assuming you didn;t know that, seeing how this is in the new members forum, but i'm PROBABLY wrong since you have a Subtank lol, So in the case you...

    Kanger Subtank Plus Splash???

Thicker Juice. What mix are you using right now? If it's like a 50/50, it will wick quicker with the stock OCC heads.

a little help on types of RDA builds.

My Dark Horse is very airy on wide-open for my Dual Claptons, .13 I think.... (Not suggesting this at all, just my cloud chaser set-up). But for the most part, I run my dual 24g coils at .2ohm for daily use (Juice Chugger) at 80watts. It works VERY well with the 3slots open (Not wide open...

How safe do you consider temp control?

Yeah I NEVER push my single 18650 mech mod below .3, and I have a vtc4 in it. I just don't trust that. lol.

Provari, the ax has come for you

Not that it matters, but here are the items listed under the Sigelei150watt, $89 on a few websites like VapeNW.com, and $75 on FastTech.com Sigelei 150w Box Mod: •Variable wattage operating range: 10.0-150W (10-49W in 0.1W increments, 49-150W in 1.0W increments) •Lowest atomizer resistance...

How safe do you consider temp control?

At .15, a regulated box like a Sig150w with two 20a batteries can withstand this. (It would be 40a with both batteries operating.) Also an Unregulated box with two 18650's with 20a ontinuous combined, (40a combination) could handle a .15 easily. A .12 ohm is 35amps, so the 35 is getting CLOSE...

Oh look another joker. This forum can be about the same thing over and over if it wants to. Have you SEEN the New Member forum lately? Every post would LOVE to have you on there to say "Oh look another newbie asking questions". If ya don't like the thread/post, stay off of it. No one likes...

Provari, the ax has come for you

Yes it is, it's a very bad joke on the end of Provari trying to lure in the "Newbie" vaper that wants to sub-ohm and don't want to take the time to read stuff about it. I mean, dang! It's a gimmick that shouldn't be needed. Sigelei's newest quote: NO GIMMICKS NEEDED. (RIP Chris Candido)

Provari, the ax has come for you

Honestly, anything below 1.0 is considered "sub ohming". I have literally seen on this forum, people saying, "I want to start cloud chasing, and I built a .9 ohm coil to start sub-ohming" AND VETERAN VAPERS GET MAD AT THEM!!!! Seriously, someone tell me the difference in a 1.0 and a .9 ohm coil...

a little help on types of RDA builds.

I never suggested anyone running .15 or lower than .2, just saying. I SHOULD have said, .2 and LOWER IS NOT SAFE FOR BEGINNERS. Just my own use.
