Thanks everyone for the replies ... I think I am going to get a bottle of Nic Salts Base and make some 18 mg nic juice and see if my son in law can vape it. If he still can't vape, I will just make juice for myself with it.
I might even like my own DIY juice made with nic salts base better than...
I have not been vaping as long as many here that have replied to this thread, but I smoked my last cigarette and replaced it with vaping back in Feb, 2014 (that's 9 years and 4 months)
Still using my ol' faithful Kayfun Lite Plus V2
I have been making my own e-cig juice for about the last 8 years. I have always used your standard 100 mg freebase nicotine (PG) base when making my juice.
I usually make the completed juice 45% PG / 55% VG and 15 mg nicotine strength ... Then 'Tootle Puffing' it with an old Kayfun Lite Plus V2...
Not complaining .. just an observation
5 years ago there used to be many more posts made on a daily basis than what is posted now .. Any idea as why that is ?
Why so much less participation now on the E-Cigarette Forum than before ?
I also am in the higher nicotine / low wattage camp.
I use 15 mg nicotine DIY juice and vape it with a 1.3 ohm single coil powered by 10.5 watts.
Still using the 'old school' Kayfun Lite Plus V2 after all these years.
Anyone here switch to using unflavored nic salt base instead of using the unflavored freebase nic base when making there DIY e-juice ?
I have noticed that the 100mg nic in the salt version is about the same price as the old reliable 100mg freebase version I am so use to using.
For the last 6 years, I have been making my own DIY freebase nic juice ... 55% VG / 45% PG at 15mg nic.
Yesterday I found 'Delosi Labs' brand unflavored Nic Salt 100mg nic base for $115.05 (1 liter size) after shipping charges to my door if ordered from a vendor called 'Nicbase'
100mg/ml...
Ordering on the internet for ready made e-juice certainly has gotten expensive just lately. It seems that the shipping costs have just about tripled to get the juice to your door from an on-line vendor.
I have a couple of questions maybe some of you folks that understand the system can answer...
I appreciate all the comments ... However, my main question is: Using a good mouth to lung atomizer (like the Kayfun), do you think that it would work well with nic salt juices? It sure vapes nice on the 15mg nic 'freebase' juice I am using now.
Again, low power ... 1.3 ohm single Kanthal coil...
I am trying to get my son-in-law off of his bad 1 1/2 pack per day Marlboro cigarette smoking habit.
I let him use my Kayfun Lite+ V2 atomizer with a single 1.3 ohm coil powered by 10.5 watts. The DIY juice in the tank was 15mg nic ... This combo was certainly a 'tootle-puffer' type of low...
Is that the Kayfun 'Prime' ?
I just ordered a Chinese 'Prime' clone from Fasttech yesterday ($15.50)
$15.50 KF Prime Styled RTA - 316 stainless steel / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Free Shipping
My two Kayfun 'Lite Plus V2' atomizers are getting so old, that I thought it might be time to get...
As far as my friend ... she now buys the 6mg pre-made juice from wherever, and then I add the correct amount of 100mg nicotine base liquid in order to get her juice up to 18mg nic.
I have also made her some 18mg nic juice (50% VG / 50% PG) from scratch with what ever flavor she likes ... I buy...
I have thought about trying nic salts, but after checking into it, I can make by 15mg nic flavored 'freebase' juice at home a hell of a lot cheaper than buying nic salt juice.
