    which multimeter/omnimeter to buy?

If you want something to help hold your attys while you're building them, there are several places that sell an acrylic stand. I don't have one, but I've seen them all over for 3-4 dollars. You can also pick up a cheap one at a hardware store for 10-15 bucks. If all you're using it for is...

MadVapes Weekly Contest - August 25 through August 29

I just ordered a ProTank 3 mini, Evod 2 and Kanger T3D, since they all use the same coil heads, which are fairly easy to rebuild, and they're affordable otherwise. They look fantastic on the iTaste MVP. Except that I have to refill them every few hours from the smaller capacity.

Replacement coils for IClear 16 and IClear30

There are different models now. I have an iclear 30s and the coil looks like a muffler or a flash suppressor.

When Is A Battery Ready For The Recycle Bin

I don't have any experience with batteries getting hot, so I can't comment on that. Longevity maybe I can help with though. My father in-law has some eGo batteries that he got when he started vaping (And he still uses them) and they still work fantastically. That was 3 years ago. I...

KFL+v2 vs Nautilus vs Boge vs HH.357?

Or on the other hand, you could pick up a cheap Kayfun clone and just use the coil and chimney. Normally I wouldn't recommend clones, but if you're going to be setting half of it aside anyhow...meh. Take off the tank section and top, set them aside. You could take off the top of the chimney...

    Mech. Mods, Need Advice

I'm not a fan of mech mods, so please take my words with a grain of salt. A mech mod is literally a tube, a connector and a moving pin (Usually they also have some sort of lock-ring so you don't accidentally fire them). While I can admire the work that goes into machining them and the...

    braided kanthal

Except for reducing the overall resistance, I don't think that it would really make a difference. 32 AWG Kanthal A-1 is rated at 14 ohms per foot. Braided as you have it, it would be 14 ohms per yard, or 4.666666 ohms per foot. That means to get a 2 ohm coil you'll need about 5.5 inches of...

Dark Ring At Bottom of 18650 Battery

I'm not really sure what you mean by bottom either. Do you mean around the outside, or that there's a ring on the negative terminal of your battery? If it's the former, you should probably discard the battery and get new ones. If it's the latter, then most likely it's just the soot that...

Kayfun Clones and Glass Tanks + Steel Lip

I've only got authentics, but I've noticed a few things with refilling. Maybe they can help you out: First, take the drip tip off and look down at the O-ring. You should see the edges of the chimney, if you don't see all of it, there's a chance that it's slightly crooked and would cause some...

    RBA's, clones, batteries?

This is a pretty complicated question, because there's a ton to it, so I'm going to just sort of brush over everything and let someone with a finer eye for detail touch up that stuff. The current fad in Vaping is to build coils at super low resistance (Sub-ohming) and fire them at high voltage...

    The Mad Lounge

I just realized that I forgot to upload a picture. I was so excited for this thing that I ripped it open and started trying everything. Man, this this is great. I barely set it down. Fortunately though, my ProVari is getting a well deserved rest, after constant use the last 6 months or so.

    PROTANK II Wick source?

The batch in currently using came from the vendor called silica wicks. He's been in business for a while now... His shipments aren't super fast though. He claims it's the good German wick... I don't know for certain if it is, but it works good enough for me.

Does this look like a good mod starter kit?

I don't do sub-ohming and I don't like Mech mods, but there are a few things that I can maybe help out with. First off. Why not just buy a multimeter instead of a specialty one? A quick amazon search showed a handful of them for less than 10 bucks, If you've got Prime, that's free shipping...

Quality RBAs - Time To Learn!

I too used a GG device, though not the Ithaka, that one was a big bigger than I wanted on my device. Here is a bit of my experience: The GG Penelope V1: One of the first generation of rebuildables that wasn't a Genesis. I didn't care for gennies at all...which lead me to find the Penelope...

I Got One, Vaping in the Cold?

Central Minnesota here. We had a month or so of - 20f this last year. Once it drops below freezing, I start taking my carrying case in from the car... That's about the point that my batteries stop working and my liquid thickens. Keep your mod near your body, a pocket or something and it'll...

    PROTANK II Wick source?

I still use silica wick for my stuff. Tried cotton and didn't like it, gunked up too fast for me. Lots of vendors carry silica though, of varying quality. If you want the good silica, search for German silica. And you want between 2.5mm and 3.5mm

Need help from our veteran vapers.

I would advise against spending a fortune on it and trying to get a perfect setup for him. There are some very good starter kits that could probably do better than what he had though. The ego twist is what I usually recommend for newbies. It has variable voltage, so if it's too cold or hot...
