help with my first Set Up
I used to hit the 10sec cutoff when I was vaping cartomizer tanks at under 10watts. Since moving to rebuildables (mostly rdas now) I average 3sec pulls. Never getting remotely close to a cutoff. RDA My rda gets extremely hot!
What exactly is all that in there? I see four coils that look nothing alike, and kinda all over the place. What mod are you running this on? And, give us more info here. It also looks like some of them are incredibly close to the outside and may contact your topcap causing a short. Sorry if this... -

Just a little correction. You are running dual 1.6ohm coils to create a single .8ohm circuit, which you are running 30watts through. You aren't running 15watts per coil, that's not how it works, it is one circuit with 30watts runing through the whole thing.- daveid777

Mod charges faster than wall charger
That depends on the wall charger, not sure of the VTC mini, but most mods will charge at 5V/.5amps. Maybe your wall charger is going at a lower rate.- daveid777

What gauge wire are you using? I've found that anything thicker than 30g takes quite some time to heat up, and conversely cool down. What I do is just release the button while still inhaling. The only build I have that just keeps on vaporizing is the dual 26g parallel build in my velocity clone... -

As has been repeated a lot lately, regulated devices require different math for determining the amps drawn from the battery. It is wattage/battery voltage, resistance does not factor. So, what wattage are you running? As a general rule (to stay under cdr values) a 20amp cell can safely output...- daveid777

Battery safety question re: 18650's and Kanger Subox
Your math is wrong for a regulated device. Resistance doesn't factor, only wattage/battery voltage. Using 3.2 as a cutoff, 50watts is 15.6Amps, and 75watts is 23.5Amps. If you want to stay below the CDR of your cells, 60 watts is about the limit for a 20Amp cell.- daveid777

Except when the charge on those two 30amp cells drops to 3.3v (typically above cutoff limits), which will happen fast at 200watts. Than you are pulling just over 30amps. I have a twisted 28g in my lemo 2 right now. I forget how many wraps (think 4/3) ID is about 3.5mm @ .9ohm and 30 watts. Never a dry hit. My twist pitch is really tight since I straightened the wire before twisting, close to .35. A pretty cool vape @30 watts, but it's on an Istick 30 so that's... -

Maybe one wrap on a 3mm mandrel, or 2 on 2mm. And that's .3. What device are you putting this on? Without a meter, I wouldn't try it on a single battery mech. Unless you meant dual coils, in which case 4/3 wraps each coil on 3mm should get you close to .3. Sorry, just saw you twisted some...
