I'm very happy with my Hobos. No, they're not perfect but they do a very, very good job. Enough so that I haven't bothered to build the Plume Veils or Veritas I have sitting here. I'm guessing it has more to do with how new gear is. Without a continuous stream of new "hotter" gear for him to educate you on, why watch his channel? It's one of those uncomfortable truths about reviewers in all fields. If they don't puff up the next big thing, they are obsolete themselves. -

That is strange because you recollect correctly about the ranking in his Hobo review. he might have done the Hobo review before he had the Marquis and Vertex but then the Hobo would be down at number 5. -

Why would you assume that there wasn't a linear response? It would seem linear response would be the most likely candidate in the absence of any mechanism which would make a difference. Just curious.- SonHouse

I think it's the flip side of the RDA being so small. The air really rushes through it when you inhale fast. I find it's better if you give it a little time for the juice to sluice down the coil/wick or if you use the drip cap. -

I'll also suggest the CLT2, note that it's not the V2, it's the CLT2, an entirely different atomizer from the CLT. Very good flavor and vapor at a dirt cheap price. And amusingly enough, I just got an email from them and they have apparently given up to the v's folks kept sticking in there and... -

Coils Whine and fluctuating battery % with Sigelei 100W box mod
Meant to mention this also. I have two of the Sigelei's and they're dead silent except for the crackling of the RDA on top when I put the power to them. I use both LG HE2 and the Samsung 25R's with them. I am over 50 though, so maybe I've lost some of that top range. I have never heard this... -
IPV 3 or Sigelei 100 watt?
I have both the Sigelei and the IPV 3. They're both fine mods but the magnets on the Sigelei's door make it my go to mod while the IPV3 languishes in the box for when the Sigelei finally craps out.- SonHouse

Battery Help Please
As others have mentioned, being able to test your coils before using them is a prerequisite. Mechanical mods do not have safeties built in like regulated mods do so it's on you to make sure that they are safe. Battery safety is the number one topic to study before jumping into the mech world...- SonHouse

The jumping percentage isn't an issue, it's how batteries work. The charge remaining being displayed is based on the voltage of the battery. The power of a battery is produced by a chemical reaction which does not always proceed at a constant rate. Therefore the voltage fluctuates slightly... -

Have you also considered the Hobo? Outstanding flavor and vapor. I'd remove the Magma since it's more about the flavor than the vapor. The Big Block 454 is a fine atty and does a nice job with flavor/vapor. I have a couple of the Plume Veils sitting here but haven't built them yet. I haven't... -

Just happened to notice your Calc are off At 7 volts into a 2 Ohm load, you're at 24.5 Watts. Your 3 Ohm should be 16.33 Watts but that could be rounding. -
