Version 4.0.2.0 is available. It adds the notes to the "Build recipe from ingredient amounts" window and it corrects the issues with the copy/paste in the "Ingredient editor" window.
Believe it or not I just discovered the problem you are describing this morning and have fixed it. I plan on making the new version available later today.
Version 4.0.1.8 was just made available. It contains two updates:
1. I added the ability to use the "Ctrl-C" and the "Ctrl-V" keys to copy/paste into the ingredient editor window.
2. I made changes to the "Edit->Maintain Manufacturer List" window to allow ingredients found as a result of a...
There may be a misunderstanding on what the Maintain Manufacturer List window is doing.
The purpose of the "Search ingredient for value" is to find ingredients that contain the string that you enter. When the search is complete all ingredients with the matching string are displayed. You then...
4.0.1.7 is available. It resolves the copy/paste issues in the ingredient editor. You should still consider the ingredient editor component of the calculator a beta module.

During the Find/Replace function the ingredient being replaced was always being deleted regardless...
Click the "Ingredients" button on the main window. Enter your base as a nicotine ingredient (Ingredient type) specifying the nicotine level, PG and VG levels. Click the "Save" button.
Also add your flavor ingredients as a flavor ingredient type.
Then on the main window specify the levels...
I just made version 4.0.1.4 available.
Changes include:
Added a "purchase date" field on the ingredient window.
Fixed a bug in the modify recipe window. An exception was being thrown when the desired PG/VG level could not be reached.
Added a "deactivate" checkbox on the ingredient...
You should have received a warning if:
1. You set the "Inventory alarm threshold" for the ingredient to a value other than 0 (0 is no threshold) and
2. In "Tools->Options" You check the "Display inventory messages" checkbox on the "Ingredient Defaults" tab.
I have added a "purchase date" box...
