The Really Big RY4 Roundup (long)

Hi On Target, Nice to "see" you! The thread's slowed down over the past year, in part because I decided that 175 RY4 reviews was about my limit. LOL. We had a good, long run here, but even without my seasonal maintenance/updating/reposting of The Big RY4 Lists, the thread chugs along, just at...

The Really Big RY4 Roundup (long)

In the RY4 world, the longed-for reappearance of BWB RY4 (or a substitute, which BW4 is likely to be) is right up there with debate over the "original" RY4 (which was Janty RY4, by the way).

The Really Big RY4 Roundup (long)

Easy enough to find out, since I have all of them.

The Really Big RY4 Roundup (long)

If I recall correctly, you posted about that Frankenblend awhile back. That's probably why I thought of it. Next I'll have to try some W2V RY4 mixed with a true Classic RY4, like Janty Elixir or Dekang DK4.

The Really Big RY4 Roundup (long)

OK, I tried the 1:1 mix of TFA RY4 Double and W2V RY4 dripped into a Derringer RDA. It was fine, but not thrilling. I wondered what it might be like to mix W2V RY4, with its lovely bass notes, with a brighter RY4, so I tried a 1:1 mix of W2V RY4 with AzureVaping RY4.5. I liked that better. The...

The Really Big RY4 Roundup (long)

Cool, Your W2V/TFA FrankenRY4 sounds delicious. I have some of both mixed up at 3mg---the TFA RY4 Double has some added Acetyl Pyrizine for body (which dramatically improves it, in my opinion). I'll try combining them in a Derringer dripping RDA and let you know what I think.

Snow Wolf 200w With Temp Control

I have the 1.0 version. Yes, the "feature" of always locking after however many minutes of non-use is indeed both silly and frustrating. I'm glad Asmodus got rid of it for v1.5. That said, I've adapted to it pretty well. I've learned to automatically do a fast 5 clicks when picking up my...

    Eleaf istick 40 TC

Yup, the iPV D2 is one of the six on the way. I made the silly mistake of ordering it from efuntop in July to save ten bucks, so I haven't received mine yet. I presume that it will arrive eventually. Efuntop has already sent an email apologizing for the delay, subtly blaming Pioneer4U for not...

    40w enough for TC?

Not to pose as an expert on temp control---since I'm just another lab-rat user with limited knowledge of the technology---but it seems to me that applied wattage (from relatively low to very high) provides only a single variable in temp control as currently implemented in most TC mods: Wattage...

    Eleaf istick 40 TC

My experience with the iStick 40TC is that it's remarkably good at temp control for being so simple. My sole complaint is that, since it runs TC only at its full 40W output, battery life is extremely short. I run it only halfway down on the battery display bar, so I have to recharge the battery...

Snow Wolf 200w With Temp Control

I wasn't challenging your experience or your understanding. My post was intended only to explain to non-owners how the SnowWolf is SUPPOSED to work. It doesn't always work like it should for me, either, although I've not been particularly bothered by that, since a re-do usually fixes the glitch...

Snow Wolf 200w With Temp Control

From the manual: AUTO-DETECT FEATURE (temp control mode versus wattage mode) The SnowWolf 200W auto-detects nickel or kanthal wire coils and fires each in the appropriate mode — temperature control mode for nickel and wattage mode for kanthal. The temperature setting will remain on the screen...

    Elix Vapor?

I've had ten of eLixVapor's regular juices, plus a couple of small sample bottles of their premium lines added to the packages as freebies. The regular juices seem well-crafted---flavors are accurate and not perfumey/chemical tasting or smelling. All are fairly subtle---no knock-your-socks-off...

    Xtar vc4 vs vp4

I have a very old Saitek 4-bay "smart" charger from the 1980s-90s that recharges regular household alkaline batteries using a microprocessor and trickle charge. As far as I know, it's no longer made (I presume the battery companies killed it, since "rechargeable" batteries have much higher...

    IPV D2 announced.

What’s the basis of your judgment of one or more of my TC boxes (since you didn’t specify) as “pretty horrible” at Temp Control? Do you own them? Have you used them? Or is this just opinion gleaned from cherry-picking negative reviews or forum posts? The Sigelei TC75 has garnered glowing...

    IPV D2 announced.

I’m not yet sold on Temp Control. I think it works, even in this relatively early stage of this new technology, but it hasn’t yet improved my vaping experience in any way that's sufficiently obvious or significant to win me over as a firm convert. I currently have four TC boxes: a SnowWolf...

The Really Big RY4 Roundup (long)

passer, I saw that one a couple days ago. A new (presumably) Classic Chinese RY4. I wish it came in a zero nic option, but 6ml is good enough. I haven't ordered it. I'll wait for your appraisal.

The Really Big RY4 Roundup (long)

No problem, BJ. Vaping is an evolutionary practice. Sure, while I'm sure that some people find their sweet spot and stay there for many years, for most of us vaping grows and changes, sometimes gradually and almost imperceptibly until critical mass is reached and we look up to find ourselves...

The Really Big RY4 Roundup (long)

Even though my half-filled bottle of Raf-a-licious (purchased in December, 2011) is far too strong for me now---it's 18mg nic, and I vape 3mg or less these days---I just vaped a bit of it, since I still have 100 RY4s loaded into ancient cartos and clearos within easy reach on my desk. Even at 3...
