    I loved the design of the first one. Form factor, top firing button, really smart use of molded plastic. Doubt I'd spring for it, but I may emulate some of its features in a custom.

    A 510 hybrid adapter (with 20 x 1mm threads) fits nicely. Just tried one. Add a slightly raised post on the inside to make contact with the battery and it would function. Would not look so great though unless you also did something on the outside for appearance sake.

    I'll check when I get it. If the buttons clear that, even only when depressed, you're good. Slow going threading it on, but not like you'd be taking it on and off a lot.

    How much clearance do you have between your Kafun base and the mod when installed? If I could get a measurement on that, I could tell you when I get mine.

    I'm kicking around ideas while I wait for it to arrive. Have several possibilities: a custom 26650 wood; a modified 18650 Phantus, a couple of Ignitions and various SMPL tube mechs to fit them. Haven't decided yet, but will post when I do.

    I've had kicks and ended up never using them. This is much more useful if it works well with your form factor. Remember you said for side-by-side, some of which, like Black Oak, have lots of room for it. If you change your wattage now and then, accessing the pot on the kick can be annoying. Here...
