I am certainly not qualified to offer much advise, but since it was just drilled out I would suggest a complete tear down clean and then blow out with compressed air if possible. If it still has this problem after reassembly then I have no idea.
The Kayfun 3.1 has post holes. I have never used one all mine are lite plus V2's. I am sure that there are folks on here that will have experience with the 3.1 and could comment on it.

This is the deck I got when I ordered a Tobeco Kayfun Lite. Contacted the supplier twice and both times he said a new deck was in the mail, never did get one. As you can see there are no horizontal channels. Is it possible to dremel channels or just order a new deck from fastteck?
