No, cause you're never really getting the water hot enough to boil it. It's still very much in it's liquid state inside the coil, providing a coolant mechanism. That's about where I get to as well. If you're passing 212, you know you have a problem :) -

I am also starting to see a bit of wear in the finish on the colored part of the body housing around the battery tube. The silver frame where the buttons are mounted still looks great. While I would enjoy this thing looking new forever, I have to expect some wear and tear. It's still vaping...
