Thank you Yes you could increase the surface area the contacts are copper and you can manipulate it . I can fill you in on a little secrete more surface area sounds nice . What really happens is the two contact points connect at one small spot and in most cases your not getting a solid...- redeyedancer

Yes it has about 9 or ten turns if people strip it they need the magic dunce cap . The insert is made of resin impregnated wood . I couldn't take a chance with any form of plastic . One of the throat burners with no maintenance skills would have melted it- redeyedancer
