    Well, as this thread has made clear, I use the diacetyl-containing flavorings, so I cannot speak to the newer offerings. However, after running 15+ ml through a carto tank I will notice some sediment in the tank - a dark ring sitting in the bottom which will re-mix into the juice if I shake it...

    I have experimented with food flavorings (most of the flavorings we use were originally intended for culinary use actually) - the most important thing is to look at the ingredients. If it has gum or preservatives I would stay away (gum acacia, sulfates...etc). I do not like dye/colorings either...

    Ha! I got that email too. I am very pro-USPS. Only ever had one problem with them, and nothing works perfectly every time. The other carriers charge 2-3x more, and their delivery times are equivalent to (or slower than) USPS, so I don't see what that extra money is buying me.

    Likely I was on the phone trying to get my GOD D***ED PACKAGE OF CARTOS from USPS... Anyway, 10% was too much for me. It is still a project in the works for me. I have used it effectively with sweet cream at about 3%. I have used it at 1% with other florals, usually with rose & jasmine.

    Enough to make any non-DIY'er cringe. I do drop off plenty in the donation bin at our meets, but some liquids are so foul that I would not wish them upon my worst enemy; particularly when experimenting with florals, I often end up with mixes that are best disposed of.
