    Turbocad's finally selling mods :)

yes, the contacts will always arc as the connection is made and broken, especially when broken, but this is inevitable. the difference is, as Rossum says, first of all for it to be a material that withstands the arcing well, and of course this means both sides of the contacts of which a battery...

    Turbocad's finally selling mods :)

well yeah, technically not so much surface area but cross sectional area or overall mass really is more correct when it comes to the conductor, surface area itself does make a very big difference on contact points themselves, well actually not so much surface area, but specifically contact...

yeah as Rossum has already said, the make/break contact point absolutely can not be on the battery itself, and yes, also as he has said the biggest benefit of silver is not so much the difference in conductivity, it's simply the fact that the oxide layer that does inevitably form is actually...

and yeah, a mosfet is not a mech, heck many will not even consider something a true mech even if it uses wires as opposed to mechanical strips, personally I don't think that is true, an adequate wire is equally as effective, but mass perception doesn't see it that way I guess :)

yes, I wholeheartedly agree but so many guys are so centered on cost that I was considering maybe having this be an optional upgrade to full solid silver guts for maybe $25-$30 or so, for so many people out there a small difference in price like this can actually be a pivoting factor... it's...

    Turbocad's finally selling mods :)

yeah I have considered maybe doing a mosfet version too, but not VV, to me by the time I build in VV circuitry then might as well just make it a fully chipped mod, but a mosfet may be a possibility I'm considering too.. as far as price it's a little too early to tell, but it will not be a...

I have no idea why each picture shows twice but at least there is the ability to upload pictures now that can show full size, that's pretty new here I think? never used to be able to do that, makes it MUCH easier to upload pics so I will upload some more pics soon from the past few batches here...

hey man I'm not sure if 3D printed ultem is similar to regular ultem 1000 but be careful when trying any kind of Cyanoacrylates, it causes it to crack and craze! I use 2 part epoxy for magnets, it sticks pretty well to it

BOTTOM FEEDERS= a place for everything modified and/or custom made

honestly when it comes to mods I don't think paint really has any place on them. paint is just never going to be durable enough unless you really baby the mod. now powder coating on a metal mod may not be so bad I guess, but even there it's prolly only a matter of time before it starts to get...
