I know I've been asking a lot of [very similar] questions, so sorry for that, just a quick one, though: Will the heatup time be significantly faster on a .75 ohm 30g dual coil setup than a .75 ohm 28g dual setup? Or should I experiment with different setups? P.S. The only reason I am asking...- subver

Ah yes that definitely helps! I still am curious about the perceived differences between microcoil and regular coils - but I think that'll just be something that comes as I experiment. That chart is very handy, though!- subver

Something I was wondering... does anyone have a rough comparison of the performance of a microcoil (with X resistance) compared to regular coil (with X resistance)? I'm still new to microcoils and have a lot of experimenting to do, but I just wanted to see if anyone made any comparisons before...- subver

Interesting roadie - do you think that nanocoil setup with a tiny wick would work in a non-dripping atty? I will be testing it on the new Ithaka rebuildable part. That's why I was wondering if I should try and add some cotton along the top/bottom/in-between the coils- subver

Even better then! I will def get one. Hopefully I can find one with good mandrel sizes. At least the 1.5mm is good! I would like 1.5mm and 2mm at least, I think? I suppose in the worst case scenario maybe I could put blunt-tipped needles (of the size I want) over a smaller mandrel? -

Hmm alright, that makes sense I suppose (thinking of the water pipe analogy) So with that info, I will def experiment with smaller wire for dual coils. Not sure how 32g kanthal works out for microcoils but I am tempted to try 2x 1.5ohm micro coils wrapped with 32g kanthal. Maybe 30... but 28 was...- subver

Ah nice, thank you bobalex.. now to justify spending that much more :D Is there a difference between 42,000 Hz and 36,000 Hz? Not taking the 8min timer into account I wonder how good the one I posted is... The thing for me is that this will also be used (probably MOSTLY) for cleaning my ecig...- subver

xtreme - yeah I was thinking about getting one of those, too. I might be stopping at Michael's today and if I see one I will pick it up. I think the 1.5mm bar would be best for me, too.. that's the closest to 1/16" How tight can you get the coils with that gizmo? And I just figured most people... -

Might be, but isn't there a big thing about imperfect coils not being as good? All I have is a drill bit and my hands and my carpel tunnel hates me when I wrap them.. Definitely gonna try this myself, it'll save my wrists at least! -

Drill method for wrapping microcoils - what a great idea! Can't wait to try this! I think if I were to do this I would put a longer screw in there and a way to attach it to the end, that way the first leg is straighter. -

Hey guys I'm trying to get a good dual microcoil setup on my new ithaka rebuildable part. I did one setup that vaped great but I didn't like how long it took to heat up. Right now I'm vaping ~1.2ohm microcoil wrapped around a 1/16" drill bit with 28g kanthal (13-14 wraps I believe?) It vapes...- subver
