Nice yankee haha, we all need to change it up now and then! I boiled mine for 10 minutes and I notice no taste. My last build was 3 strands and it took a second to heat up the coils but not really on this 2 strand build. I think the 3 strand build also gunked up faster than usual so we will see... -

The ceramic should be fine if just the little part that separates the channel breaks. I wouldn't worry about it. I haven't had one break yet but I've had Ody ceramics chip a bit and they are usually fine as long as the positive wire isn't touching the metal base. -

The tsaf only has 4 settings, no specific voltage, but I can probably check each one. I also use 30g nickel and 32g kanthal. I don't really have any problems welding wires with the tsaf but I'm still trying to find my exact sweet spot so this will help :) Thanks Poppa! -

Hehe no problem, it's a great video you posted anyway! I do love my multimeter, but I also recently got an ohm meter from MadVapes that just makes things soo much easier. I'm still waiting for one of those volt meters as well, then I won't have to pull out my multimeter stuff for quick checks... -

Thanks! I do use my multimeter to check ohms/volts on my devices, but I'm wondering how I would do it for my little wire welder. I'm assuming I just charge the Tsaf up as I normally would and just put the probes on the welder clips and test for voltage? I mean I guess that makes sense, all it's... -

Yeah I've been leaning towards brushing my Just GG when I get it as well. I, too, love the polished look, but it gets greasy and fingerprints pretty fast (at least for me) -

Can I use a multimeter to test how many volts my Tsaf is putting out? How would I do that without doing damage to the leads/MM or anything like that? -

Interesting - what size ekowool? After like 2 days I started getting good wicking, but it was inconsistent for me.. sometimes it would flood, sometimes I would get a dry burn.. after a while it evened out, but right off the bat I had a lot of issues. Maybe one day I will try smaller diameter...
