I would be ecstatic if the ekowool I used wicked as good as this cotton hemp yarn. Maybe when I make my next batch of juice I'll make it a bit thinner and try ekowool again. 80vg/20pg didn't wick that great on ekowool for me.. Krinkle method worked pretty good though. I still want to try the... -

Thanks yankee. I was hoping it wasn't too tight or anything.. I've got 4 coils all wrapped nicely around this cotton hemp yarn. I'm hoping the 2 strands perform better than my current 3 strand setup. It wicks great but I almost think it holds too much juice (if that is the issue, I don't know)... -

I've got plans for some hemp twine that I've heard a lot of good things about.. the girl who sells it won't have it in stock for 2-3 weeks, though.. but when I get it I'll let ya know if you want to try it. A lot of people saying it's heaps better than just cotton, but we'll see! -

Blackened Coil & Wick inside a week?
2-3 days is not unusual, depending on the juice. I certainly would love if I could get a full week (not to mention TWO weeks!) out of my coils! I use thick dark flavor juices that gunk up fast. It really depends on the juice. Tobacco flavors and other dark flavors will gunk coils up faster than...- subver

Is there a site you guys buy spare o-rings from online? Or do you guys just get them from local hardware stores (are they just neoprene)? CoV is always out of the Ithaka o-rings, so I figured if there is a site somewhere I can buy a couple sets of o-rings for GGTS, Ithaka, Ody and Penny myself. -

Yeah absolutely try it out and see if you like it. Not everyone had gurgling problems, some people prefer the original nut as well. -

Sounds good, is it easy to thread the cotton when the head is completely assembled? I guess worst case scenario I could just put a small piece of tape on the cotton to the end of the drill bit and just pull it through. Thanks for the tips!- subver

Yeah that's true! I mean, I've spent way more than that on silica already! 200 feet is definitely a lot! Still it'd be under $20, not bad. Hmm, maybe I'll order it.. I would do the cheapest option but then it might take 5 weeks! If I were to do that I may as well wait for Vanessa to stock it.- subver

It replaces the tall nut that goes inside the ceramic, which screws onto the center post :) It replaces this: Be sure to screw it with the larger side touching the ceramic.
