Microcoils and other things
Yeah I will be trying them again soon.. my first try didn't go so well.. I welded my wires and wrapped the coil then torched it a bunch of times and squeezed them together with needle nose pliers, but the welds broke. I didn't have a lot of time so I just went with a regular setup after that... -

Ok, wishful thinking is all :) I will figure out a way to do it... if it wasn't for the torching it would be fine.. maybe I'll "torch" it with a bic lighter instead of an actually mini torch next time. I was also thinking that I could give the 28g micro coil about 1cm legs, and weld the NR wire...- subver

Nice, yeah I'm a tobacco flavor guy as well.. I've enjoyed the flavor of some cottons before, I imagine hemp would be similar - I will do the detergent + 2x 20min boils like you said. Very eager to try - thanks!- subver

I've been using Martha Stewart cotton hemp yarn and it wicks high VG juices very well, even chain vaping .65ohm dual coils on my Ithaka. I want to try this hemp twine, will it not wick as good?- subver

I just started using Martha Stewart cotton hemp yarn and am absolutely loving it.. great taste, great wicking with high VG juice, no flooding or dry burns. I boiled it for 10 minutes, but still not sure of the safety of it - it doesn't have any synthetic fibers or anything like that. Interested...- subver

Yeah I didn't think much about the dry burning - I honestly never do that so it's not a downside to me, but that's definitely something to consider if you dry burn! I'm not sure on the safety of cotton and/or hemp but I feel like it's relatively safe - I remember reading about it being safe but... -

Huge fan of this cotton hemp yarn, wow. Still vaping great, no flooding, no dry hits, taste is delicious, it wicks high VG juice amazingly - I think I'm converted, I would take this over silica/ekowool. The only thing is wrapping the coils with limp yarn can be a little more work, but not too... -

Man, Bishop, this Martha Stewart cotton hemp yarn is out of this world! I don't think I'll be going back to silica! I used 3 strands of yarn with one strand going down the channels on my dual coil .65ohm high VG build and it's wicking like a champ. No dry hits, no leaking, taste is delicious -... -
