If I measure the coils together by their nickel ends it's about 1.2ohm... Very weird.. Ithaka set up read 2.6 on my atty ohm meter... Maybe it was some kind of short? Not sure what the atty meter from mad vapes reads with a short though.. The other things still don't make sense to me though... -

Ok, quick update - it's not the welder, there is something else going on. I twister 2 more coils.. 1.4ohm each, 32g twisted kanthal and 30g nickel. The problem is, if I test the coil at the twisted joints it read 1.4, but if I test it at the very ends of the nickel wire it's 1.8ohm! And I set... -

I finally got around to trying twisted duals, but ran into an issue. I'm using 2 32g wires for the twisting.. Beautiful twisted wire. I measure out 1.4ohm pieces and then weld them to 30g Nickel. I wrap my coils... they are perfect, FORGETABOUTIT... but then I measure the ohms and they both... -
