    To be specific the carcinogen is CRYSTALLINE SILICA according to the MSDS.

    NatGasMan, MiriamWTH, Brigit, and Cloud Wizard thanks so much for helping me out I just couldn't figure it out. I'm not sure what the exact issue was, but after a full cleaning and drying it's back to working fine. Right now I have 4 wraps of 32 gauge kanthal coil sitting pretty at 3.1ohms. BTW...

    You can always get the extension cap later on when you have the money if you still want it. I only use mine with a 18650 b/c I already had a bunch of them before I bought it.
