As a side project, I want to try to build a bottom feeding RDA myself. I have a buddy that has a machine shop.
But I have no idea what the inside of one looks like. I mean, how do you go from a 510 connection to 2 vertical posts (electrodes). You know, those two posts with a hole that you...

Here's my take at it. Life is all about risks, every time you ask a girl out, make an investment, or cross the street, go on a plane, etc...
When we smoked, we were taking a 1/5 chance of obtaining lung cancer at advanced age. We can of course quit but it's...
I think I might've flooded my atty. When I took off the top cap, I see that the wick is swimming in juice. The juice is full to the brim and then some. But thanks to surface tension, it didn't fall off the side yet. That's why when I take a drag, I get flavor but literally no vapor.
I checked...
So the two pages are all parts of the "receiving end" of a 510 connection, something you would find on say, a Ego C Twist or a REO.
I guess with all the information so far, one can easily build the "inserting end", something you would find on an tank like the vivi nova.
Am I right?
My first coil attempt: I made it 1.3 Ohm and really squeaky tight. No hot legs whatsoever.
I have trouble putting in the silica wick into the coil. But the strands would fall apart as soon as I try to insert it. So I used cotton and wet the tip a bit and it easily went in. However, this is my...
wow you are great, derogg.
That "connector base" on the first page is the female portion (what we have on batteries), and the connector post and insulation on the 2nd page belongs to the male portion (what we have on attys)?
thx
Guys, I'm ready to install the coil, and I have a few questions.
1. First of all, is the coil supposed rest upon the ceramic plate or is it supposed to "hover" above it? The reason I'm asking this is because there seems to be a very FINE LINE on how high above the plate the coil should rest...
Say there is a device but it doesn't use 510 or ego type connection. Rather, it is a proprietary connection between the atty and battery. And they are sold as a bundle.
Another thing, that O-ring that I'm supposed to place at the juice well is critical right? If I do not place it well or if it becomes damaged, fluid might leak when squonking?
Does anyone know if they make a bare metal finish REO grand? I tried looking for one but it was either out of stock or I didn't see any, so I got the black wrinkle.
It'll be nice if they have a chrome or brushed metal finish REO.
Thanks, you guys are very helpful.
Just out of curiosity, is it a good idea to take apart that center philips screw right where the magnets are? I wonder what's underneath it...
Thanks for the help so far, all you guys.
Anyway, I got the "Black wrinkle" version. I have no idea what that surface finish is, but will it crack and chip with time?
Also, where can I get 16 gauge needle to build my coil? Does Home Depot carry it?
Sorry, the pic is a bit small. But here are the issues:
1. I took the tube off the unit, and it's so hard to put it back on. Do I have to use a tweezers for this?
2. This might be pathetic, but I can't seem to disassemble the RM2 to get to the coil plate. I tried turning it counterclockwise...
