Suggested range... not specific. Sometimes that's a optimal range sometime mechanical safe range and sometime it just numbers sometime it the amount of watts you need to feed.

Batteries don't DRAW amperage.. coils and boards do.... so if anything fried the board it wasn't the batts but it was either the build or users finger.

I start low and work my way up...... generally I build to run at a specific wattage.. question for me is what combination of wire do I use to get a good vape at desired wattage... only time I Even consider ohm is when building for mech or at extremes of mod output.

Yes I have it on my pico.... no issues yet..... did have similar with earlier versions though. go to AF site or Scan up in the thread. There is a safe mode procedure. Allows for forced FW flashing... might have to go back to Eleaf FW re flash there before upgrading with AF.

Any edge or corner between the outside air inlet and the drip tip outlet could produce a whistle. Opening the air a bit will also.....

Be gentle... likely needs a good polishing more than grinding the edges.... don't forget the drip tip. Changing the bore size might help also.

Changing the air path might work. But the root of the problem is obstructions in the air path....... now soom are there by design. Ie the coil. Sharp edge on the air holes can also cause whistle.... the smaller that hole gets the more it might whistle.

Same reason I ordered it...... TC stability......
My worry is I'll need to run more watts with the 26..... I hate changing batteries....

You might try modeling builds on steam-engine.org. ... I shoot for a Heat flux of 170 to 200 and capacity as close to yellow as I can get. I generally vape at 20watts or less. FWIW I JUST ORDERED A SPOOL OF 26 WIRE....first wire other than some clapton I have bought or used heavier than 28...
Actually most gunk form while the coil is heating up and cooling down.... lower watts don't let coil get hot as fast and big coil cool slowly. A faster coil would help... what mod are you using do you have preheat?

Comp wire is an OLD brand name. When introduced it was the state of the art. As the only other cloud wire was nichrome.... the craziest of chasers of the time we're barely building as low as .5ohm for them massive clouds..... on a mech with stacked 18350 or 18500 batteries......

Low wattage big coils and dark juice....... equals faster gunking... Fwiw those look broke in to me... when my coils gunk you can't see wraps anymore.

Normally ohm rises with usage....
Make sure all you contsct are tight and no coils are touch what they shouldn't.
If it stable and I like the vape.... I'd just vape it..
But...
WHEN IN DOUBT THROUGH IT OUT.... doesn't just apply to batteries.

Yeah I got the bad eyesight thing.....
But you ask what the solution to having to replace your coil every 2 days was........
Fwiw... I know a BLIND from birth vaper that DIY his coils and juices..... I figure someone with bad eyesight could use a magnifier. I build using a jewelers loop...
