There is a VW/TC Kanger dripbox (dripbox 160) coming out soon if not already out. The market has needed something like this forever! I am surprised it took so long aside from custom mods.
I happened across 1L @ 100mg/mL of "Throat Hit" nic from VapersTek for a net cost of about $37. I am not sure if they discontinued that line or not. TBH I can't really tell that much throat hit from it as opposed from their regular nic. I guess it really depends on the flavorings that may or may...
Ahhh feeling and accuracy are two very different things.
IMO the most important factor is the calibration and calculation of the individual wires TCR. If that is correct and coded correctly within the "chip" then it shouldn't matter.
What is the composition of that coil? You can mix kanthal and TC wire and still get a TC vape although the temp might not be too accurate.
I see you are running dual Clapton's. In my experience with complex builds if they go wrong or don't vape that well break it down to something simple like...
The oxide layer is only one part of the spaced coils equation.
The other is not getting a nuclear hot coil in the dead center leading to accelerated wick fouling and coil crud/crust collection.
SS and Ti both form oxide layers like kanthal.
SS is fine to dry burn (oxide over). Most mesh...
That is the method I use with my ni200 coils. It is about a 50/50 shot of getting it out without trashing the coil.
One of these days I'll buy some SS and ditch the ni200. I like the performance with ni200, but the flimsy-ness is really getting old.
Also for wicking the coil I do the same...
Yup you hit the nail on the head. I think I mentioned that earlier after thinking about it (WISMEC Reuleaux RX200 TC). The mods reference is 0.13 ohms at any temperature (ambient air). The only time it "hits" correctly is if the ambient air is at what the coil was built on. You would figure that...
I understand clearly how TC mods work and disagree with your 70 F reference logic. It shouldn't matter if the coil is installed in a freezer or desert. It just needs to know that once the coil has settled it reads x resistance by y temperature. The RX has an ambient air temp sensor in it so that...
