DIY Going Pretty Well! (Sweeter Question)

Check the label for anything other than pure Stevia and ingredients you recognize: water, glycerine (VG) or PG (alcohol would be acceptable [although some avoid it] but it says it contains none). As long as there are no other ingredients, you're good to go! :)

    The Hangsen Thread

I never meant to offend in stating a preference. Yes, this website is a blessing as it was catalyst to my own conversion when I joined in mid-2009 as sources were scarce then. If you'll re-read the post about which you're complaining, however, my humble preference was for a text version rather...

    The Flavor Apprentice Flavoring Thread

It would seem the TFA thread would be a good place for this question Early in my own DIY experience, I understood the TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust was not a Cheesecake flavor but rather the Graham Crust as one might use for cheesecake. As a result, this is how I use it and how it tastes - at...

    Clueless ? App-less ?

This is a worthwhile addition to the DIY tutorials, Steamix. I reach for my desktop calculator rather then a software version when I'm mixing. This because I'm imbued with a limited quantity of grey matter. :)

2012 The Best of the Best DIY flavorings from each flavor manufacture

It taste better 'cause it's chock full o' flavor-enhancing chemicals! As mjag says, at least they're not lying about it any longer. Not since those crafty Canadians caught 'em at it, anyway. :D

    The Hangsen Thread

Some (myself included) consider taking a moment to write it out rather than posting a picture from another website to be a courtesy. In this manner, it's possible to copy and paste into our notes to save your brilliant ideas to try for ourselves! :)

    New member but not really...

Welcome, Ben. 'Hope you picked up some things while lurking. Susan covered just about everything to which I can only add that using the standard convention of listing PG/VG in that order, even if VG is the larger percentage is appreciated. This standard was adopted years ago but new vapers seem...

Pink Spot Flavor Concentrates In USA?

I've been searching for a source for DV flavorings now that Liberty Flights no longer has a US website. I've sent an inquiry to ChefsVapour thanks to your post. Tha only other source I could find would cost nearly $50 with shipping for a single 30 ml bottle. I can be a bir frivolous when it...

    Diacetyl?

Like jb58, many of my flavorings are FA for their potency and accuracy. I find FA Pandoro particularly drool-worthy but it's in their Kitchen Line, hence, contains the bad stuff. I choose to avoid 'V2 and 'DX' versions of flavoring because I find the old, original flavorings yummier. God bless...

DIY Going Pretty Well! (Sweeter Question)

Huge congratulations @Liskrig on successfully transitioning from cigs to vaping and getting into DIY. The first transition will surely improve your health, the second will add immeasurably to your overall enjoyment of vaping. Surprising that no one else mentioned that EM 10% and TFA Cotton...

    Chocolate

I would second this notion and add the INW Choc Cream is highly recommended although I've used it only to 'pop' FA Espresso in a mix, which worked quite well. And finally, +1 for BCV!

Found a good use for CAP Chocolate Fudge Brownie

Congratulations Yiana. The Caps Chocolate Fudge Brownie is reviled by many. The few that actually use it are zealots with kind of an "Oh yeah?" attitude. I'm neutral on the subject 'cause i figure, why take a chance with so many terrific favors? I've never tried it. :D

    Help with black cherry

Yo, roxy! Baby steps! Please try to double the VC first, then add additional ingredients one at a time if you choose to do so. If I may humbly suggest, wait til last with the EM (cotton candy). You may find it is sweet enough without (and some folks don't care for the aftertaste)! :)

EM flavour brands? + My first DIY juice

EM by any other name would smell as sweet, and a distinctive fragrance it is, as well. No matter what a product created with only EM as the ingredient (Cotton Candy being the one with which most DIYers are familiar) it is Ethyl Maltol. THis substance is a powder or crystal and is mixed (mist...

    Malic acid in diy???

Malic Acid is not a sweetener. It is to tart what Citric Acid is to to sour. TPA Sweet & Sour is a combination of the two. Dissolving in PG or PGA would certainly create an additive you could certainly use in DIY but you'll have to check for the ratio as I disremember and cannot brain that at...

    Capella's Vanilla Custard - A DIY Newbie's Bestest Friend!

Tobacco and custard is a combination I've not heard suggested but it is intriguing. A recent fave of mine is SoHo ans Meringue, as suggested by the FlavourArt CEO. SoHo and custard? Hmmm ... ya never know! :) I mix up 120 ml or so 10% Caos VC Custard with my nic base & let 'er steep so I can...

    The Hangsen Thread

Regarding FA honey, some mixers are making a 10 percent. solution (9:1) then using. That diluted. solution in thier recipes. I tried Inawera honey in a recipe a couple of days ago and found it worked well. But possibly of equal importance,it didn't send the wife off to check the cat's litter...

That's correct, oplholik. They charge extra for the original (factory) bottle. Yeah, I just saw this myself and felt regret that I hadn't made larger or more frequent purchases. Bought all the Pure they had & ended up with quite a number of different flavors. It's never enough. :)

TPA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Acetyl Propionyl

You'll find FlavourArt's full disclosure here. Atmos Labs had Dr. Farsalinos advise them in the production of a full disclosure showing zero diacetyl, acetyl propionyl, and acetoin although these Greek flavorings aren't yet available stateside. TPA/TFA does one as well although some of theirs do...

Where does our nicotine come from?

I believe a liter is 1000 milliliters and 100 mg/milliliter nic liquid is 10% pure nicotine. If a milliliter weighs roughly a milligram, then I think that liter of nic will contain more like 1,000 mg of pure nicotine. I like the way you think though, sofarsogood. :)
