    Official ProVari 3 Thread - P3 *PART 2*

LOL - There *IS* a logical explanation, and hopefully we get to the bottom of it (or was that the top?). That's because there is no white LED in there - it's a perfect mix of red, green, and blue LED's on at the same time. They're in a slightly different location on the die, and the button is...

That thought had crossed my mind actually. When you're designing a mod for temperature control/limiting, you have a sweet spot, and deviation from that sweet spot causes calculation error. That's why the TC heads for Aspire/Kanger/etc. that VaporShark sells have the Evolv logo, and are all...

Depends, and it's both. You need a fast enough CPU, which most mods without TC wouldn't need and therefore don't have, and you'd need high enough quality parts to measure resistance accurately down to a thousandth of an ohm, and you'd need enough RAM to store temperature curves. Beyond that...

I like the implication... :) So basically, you've ensured the hardware *could* support a future upgrade (both CPU power, as well as ohm meter, likely borrowed from the IQ feature), but are working around the patent issue. Got it ;)

So basically, never. Even with very, very expensive test equipment, it's difficult to get accurate resistance readings that far below 1 ohm. Other engineers in our shop who know nothing about vaping are amazed a cheap device is able to get readings to the thousandth of an ohm, which is...

    Official ProVari 3 Thread - P3 *PART 2*

That's fine, but it's like saying you don't need a car that can go more than 65MPH because you never exceed the speed limit. Do you waste your money on cars that go over 65MPH? :) You don't HAVE to drive faster, just like you don't HAVE to use more than 20W, but some of us will appreciate the...

    Official ProVari 3 Thread - P3 *PART 2*

All ProVari's have been like this. Like it's already been stated, the LED is not directly under the button, the button is. If you hold it a few feet from a wall, button facing the wall, you'll see the LED 'spotlight' focused by the button offset by quite a bit. That's something I noticed with...

You DO realize why YiHi did that, don't you? It was to get around Evolv's patent on temperature limiting. The way it works is exactly the same as setting watts. If you set 30W on an Evolv and fire it for 1 second, you get 30J of energy. The Joules setting only happens in temperature limiting...

I have it on good authority that the Radius will be a 40W device. It will also have a "Douglas Adams" mode that will allow it to be used at 42W, but the catch is it only works in the restaurant at the end of the universe. Lightening the mood a bit... :)

LOL - we keep saying we're definitely getting one, but they haven't announced the price yet. $549.99 might be a dealbreaker ;)

I was guessing (and hoping) that would be the next color announcement. Love it! Probably the color I'll get. Can you tell us the charge current? I assume it's 500mA? Reason for asking is it was not announced, but people with iPhone 6's discovered it will charge at 1A if you use an iPad...

I read that as "can be CHARGED in 40 seconds" and gasped! Vape360 has confirmed it's a single 18650, and it was stated long ago it's not a LiPo pack. https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/official-provari-radius-thread.703712/page-91#post-16657146

You know, more airflow means less flavor unless you increase the wattage. That's how it all starts down the path to life beyond 20W. Just sayin'.... ;) PS - Good thing ProVape are ready with the Radius.

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

Sad to report the M-class has the same display bug as the S-class when you roll over 1,000,000 Joules. My display now reads v00000. The S-class kept putting garbage characters in the 100,000's digit every 100,000 - the "v" is the only "letter" - the rest are glitches. Doesn't affect anyone...

Yes - I believe it will help the P3 connector adoption. I think many people are not buying P3 atty's because they could only use them on their P3 (and now Radius). It's rather limiting, hindering adoption, IMHO.

@Vape360 - I don't suppose the plastic panels are user-changeable, and that we'll be able to buy different colors from the website, are they? :)
