THAT's what the Preveon is... SOLAR POWERED! Tootle puffers never need batteries! It'll include a hand-crank for those overcast days.

Oooo! Please tell me it'll handle a 0.15-ohm load. The wattage wars were SO yesterday - it's all about variable amps now. 250W mod? Pfft... 37.8V from 9 stacked 18650s would spit out 252A at a 0.15-ohm load (but for those STILL using variable wattage, that's 9525W!). Tootle puff on that...

You know what they say... 2 types of people - the quick and the dead ;) Ordered mine yesterday, got a shipping notice today. Guess that means it's going to be more popular than many may have assumed. You know what else they say? The best things in life are worth waiting for. OK, time for a...

@Vape360 - Intentional, or oops? "Abandonment Notice! On Thursday, March 17, 2016, a U.S. federal trademark for ProVape Incorporated registration number 86312431 was abandoned having the name IQ. The Reason provided as ABANDONED-FAILURE TO RESPOND OR LATE RESPONSE" Now, what's "Preveon"? I...

LOL - Both really. Stacking batteries is a whole lot less safe than single cells in general, but doesn't have to be completely unsafe if done properly (emphasis on "properly"). I guess that clues us in on ProVape's plans for a 2-cell series mod... ;)

Had to look that one up. Interesting looking mod, but screams "cheap, cheap, cheap!". Went to a few sites to confirm if it was even real stainless steel (and or brass), and all I could find was "metallic-looking" and "gold-colored", lol. Wattage in *8W* steps? Yikes. Takes an 18650 (only)...

Firmware updates... There's always a tradeoff. Plenty of shops have programmers for the P3 now. I would assume the same programmer could be used on the Procyon, as I doubt shops will spend the $$$ on a whole new setup. I would venture a guess that a new end piece would be needed due to the...

Well, considering I was one of those people asking for an 18650-only "P4" with 30W+, I'm obligated to get a Procyon. After owning a satin silver P3, that's my first choice of 'color' now. At least the wear patterns were interesting with the P2.5's teardrops and crop circles - not sure how the...

Official ProVari Radius Thread - Part 2

Depends on the battery really. 2A isn't abuse if the max charge rate is 4A. ProVape is playing it safe because some 18650's have a max charge rate of 1A, and since anyone can install any battery they want, they have to account for all possibilities. Even if a manufacturer says "only use this...

Official ProVari Radius Thread - Part 2

I thought the max voltage was 6.3V.... In any case, here's what the math says: 0.45 ohms minimum to achieve 40W, limiting factor 9.43A 0.90 ohms maximum to achieve 40W, limiting factor 6.00V 0.99 ohms maximum to achieve 40W, limiting factor 6.29V

If you're running v19 with the battery drain issue, the battery can be undervolted to the point standard chargers will not charge it. The Radius however will charge it very, very slowly at first, then kick in to a full charge. I've tested and experienced it when I let mine sit too long.

    Official ProVari 3 Thread - P3 *PART 2*

Doubt you'll ever see a Ti Radius. The shell will always be polycarbonate, and there's not enough metal on the caps to warrant any difference with a lighter metal. But, if you want to use that as your excuse for not getting a Radius, we'll humor you, for now... ;)

Well, of course it would invalidate your warranty. But, someday I'll dive into it. My curiosity will get the best of me. Maybe after the warranty is up though. I haven't even removed the bottom cover yet (haven't needed to).

93 bottles of juice on the wall... 93 bottles of juice... The only Radius 'upgrade' I'd be interested in is Ghost White glow-in-the-dark edition. It already looks like it could glow in the dark. Otherwise, my next mod will have to be a dual-18650 (other than 'upgrades' to existing mods, such...
