KF V4 clone floods when filled.

Just noticed this: "From Best Gear I have the whole lower mechanism below the tank ring ordered" does this mean you can simply replace #3 and #8? If so, that's the way to go. I'll guess at #8 being the most likely culprit, so replace that first and see if it fixes it. If not, replace #3 also.

KF V4 clone floods when filled.

JC turns not enough. Thats the problem and the cause of flooding while filling. Check if you can turn it further. Hold the base firmly maybe with pliers, put a screwdriver or allen key in a air hole and put a bit of work into it. It might just be a bit stiff and need freeing up. There's a...

KF V4 clone floods when filled.

Sorry - I wrote vacuum when I should've written "pressure" It's good the nut has flats, rules that out. How about my other questions in my last post?

KF V4 clone floods when filled.

The nut is #38. The threading should not be completely round, it should have 2 flat areas on it to release vacuum as it is tightened. Early ehpro clones did not have these flats and flooded as you describe. So it's vaguely possible you have an old ehpro, though you say it's unbranded. Certainly...

KF V4 clone floods when filled.

The first thing to ask is do you understand the juice control system? To fill the K4, hold the base ring with your left hand and turn the ring with the air holes counter clockwise with your right hand until you can turn it no more. Now undo the fill cap and fill. Replace fill nut, hold base...

If BNEAT is as much of a pedant as I am, he would argue that "Kayfunesque" looks more correct.

Help a new guy, pls! Tobeco K4 flooded my house, authentic KFL+ riding on a snail

The oring IS round. This is the problem - it seats too deep on the corners.

If it leaks again the most likely culprit, as mentioned above, is #16 oring. The usual fix is to go oversize to 12x1.5 which you can get for 12 cents. Many clones have this prob, likely down to the groove that #16 sits in being machined too deep.

Any Members using Ultrasonic cleaner to steep that have input?

If you put "ultrasonic steeping" into the search box top right, you'll get pointed to 2 or 3 long threads in the DIY forum. Not wishing to irritate you further, but from memory you might be looking at closer to 5 hours. I have a machine with about your specs, tried it once 3 months ago and it...

OK. Not only will I pack the channels, I'll also go up to 2.4 mm. If I then have probs, I'll modify from a completely new starting point. Many thx for your suggestions.

I expect my fill screw not to leak and I'd like my 2 chimney sections to screw together without feeling they're full of sand.

Yay :) I've been fighting flooding and major/minor leaks since day one but have been too much of a noob to try anything different. Tomorrow I'll try something diffferent. If you can be bothered, have a look at trevor's wicking - he puts a few strands of cotton into the channels for a couple...

Yes. Going by the diagram, the 510 pin holds the pos post in place. I wonder where they get their assertion that the 510 is adjustable; it certainly doesn't look like it.
