Kayfun V4 sure aint no kayfun killer
There have been quite a few reports of people getting dry hits and having wicking problems with clones. My Tobeco is much more temperamental than my authentic. I suspect some clones have juice flow problems. It's possible you don't have an issue with the V4 - you've simply bought poor clones. -

The strange taste is most likely machine oil. Have you stripped it down completely and thoroughly cleaned it? Stripping down the deck section is important as is removing the afc screw. -

Is it authentic or clone? Do the ohms fluctuate with the juice control in a stable position? eg fully open. How many turns of the juice control from lock to lock? It should be about 2 and a quarter. Check your #9 screw - it should be tight. #1 should also be tight. Parts diagram... -

There have been a few people posting here about dry hits. My authentic wicks very differently from my Tobeco, to such an extent I can't treat it as the same atty. Have you visualy checked the bottom of the juice channels for burrs? How many turns does your juice control do from lock to lock... -
