    Tin in this context is a verb... Tinning wire is the act of coating the wire with solder. The term would apply to any solder alloy. That said, yes, you should definitely use lead free solder. My personal preference is SN96AG4.

    My guess is that whomever warned you against the Noble 1 doesn't own one. True it is made of aluminum which means that it is extremely susceptible to showing signs abuse. Last road trip, I made the mistake putting it in a cup holder along w a P+ and a Provari... They weren't nice to the little...

For me personally, the improved ergonomics of having the fire button at the top would out weigh the possibility of inadvertently adjusting the + or - buttons (assuming that you are using the standard tact switches and not replacing them with touch sensors)...     Also... There's no need apply solder, magnets or anything else to a flat top battery if you're using it in a Super-T devise. The only reason I do it is because I also want to use them in my ProVari. My XTAR charger doesn't like flat tops either but that's easily remedied with a small M3 screw.

    Let me start by saying this... Soldering batteries can be dangerous, both to the battery and your person. Soldering lithium batteries can be VERY dangerous to both the battery and your person. If you have no experience soldering batteries, PLEASE DO NOT attempt to learn using lithium batteries...

    LOL... I'm really not worried about it. I do need to make up some lower nic juice to have on hand. The 10 ml juice is good for staying focused throughout the day but at night it can make it tough to get to sleep. I'm thinking that a 4 to 6 ml juice would be a smart choice (for me) in the evenings.

    Hmmm. I'm bad off then... I go through 6 to 7 mils a day using 10 mil juice. Then again, I haven't murdered anyone yet... So at least it's working.

    No problem at all. :) I personally, I think the ELA has enough variation in width itself that you don't gain anything from matching the width of the atty to the width of the top cap. Straight tube mods like a Caravella, PAPS, or GUS look goofy if there's width difference, and it's immediately...

    Oh... Before you go battery shopping, I sent David a couple of new batteries that he agreed to test. Both are awesome but it's always nice to have hard numbers. Hopefully he'll put up some discharge graphs soon... And I'll get my batteries back. :)
