    opinions on wick

If we are not inhaling Acrolein, then we are not boiling the VG. That's why I posted it. Also, I looked at my wicks/coils with a magnifying glass and saw absolutely no strands of cotton poking through the coils. My coils are pinched together VERY tightly, so that could be why, but I saw nothing...

Post pictures of your working wick and coil setup

3 strands of 30G twisted together, 8 wraps, ~0.7 ohms, 1/16" ID. Click the picture for a larger version.

Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH

I got bored today, so I stole my co-workers idea and built this(click for bigger version): 3 strands of 30G twisted together, 8 wraps, ~0.7 ohms, 1/16" ID.

    S.S. Vape Pre-Order Hana Modz V3

Aluminum is not a tough material. It is soft and easy to damage. I have a Hanamodz V2 and the surface scratches extremely easily. That's just the nature of aluminum. It does have high tensile strength, but it is easy to cause superficial damage.

    JB Steamworks big bore kit

May as well buy a higher end atomizer. This is essentially turning an Igo-W into a $80+ dollar atomizer.

Umm... Is that why the MSDS for hydrogen peroxide says that it is toxic if inhaled?

    opinions on wick

This is why I always advise the use of sterile rolled cotton over the organic cotton balls. They must at least be boiled to get rid of the peroxide. It is dangerous to inhale hydrogen peroxide.

I understand they are completely different, I stated so in my post. Do you have any data on the inhalation of silica fibers though? You completely ignored the point of my post.

    opinions on wick

While the silica may not burn, we have seen that it does release fibers. There are pictures floating around of a negative image inside of a top cap after using silica wick. The top cap is covered in small fibers from the silica wick. Those fibers are most likely inhaled. Those fibers being stuck...

    Double twisted 32g

My coworker twisted 4 pieces of 28G together and gave me some to try. I did a 4 wrap single coil and it measured about 0.3 ohms. The vapor was noticeably hotter than a standard dual coil at 0.3-0.4 ohms and it fired instantly. Here is a picture:

    RDA's - Loose Screws and Broken Leads....Help!!

Happens to me all the time when I'm building, but it doesn't normally happen once I get it setup properly. They will come slightly loose once in a while, but they don't normally break when I re-tighten them. Just be careful with how tight you're making them. Also, check the screws/post holes for...

E-cig Battery Explodes On Video in UK

iPad chargers charge at a higher amperage output, due to the larger battery in an iPad. It's especially obvious when using it to charge an iPhone vs using the standard iPhone charger. It's possible that the 510 part of the charger could not handle the higher amperage or that it was faulty. From...

    opinions on wick

Here is the picture of my wicks. These have been in use for 2 full days at 0.3-0.4 ohms. Battery voltage always between 4.2-3.6V. That's between 45-55 watts at peak voltage. The wicks are dark, because the liquid I've been using is very dark. I've circled the parts of the wick that were inside...

    opinions on wick

The problem with that video you posted is that he doesn't even keep the wick saturated. You can see the coils glowing, AKA getting MUCH hotter than they will when the wick is completely wet with eliquid. Have you ever heard of latent heat? I understand that you've done some research on this...

I've become a dripper and love it!!!

Most real omegas sell for $70-80. A real IGO-W is normally between $15-25. Huge difference in price range. They seem just as good as any other standard dripper I've tried. With a CIA halo top cap, you have adjustable airflow and you can remove the top portion of the cap instead of the whole cap...

    opinions on wick

You do realize that 150° celsius is over 300° fahrenheit, correct? I highly doubt the wick is ever getting that hot, even in super low resistance builds. Vaporizing eliquid will cool the coil, which is why the coils do not get red hot and why the cotton does not burn. We are also drawing air...

    Smok Magneto v2

The magnet is no longer magnetic... Heating a magnet beyond a certain temperature causes it to lose its magnetism. It is literally a piece of metal. It's attracted to magnets still, just like most other ferrous metals, but no longer has a magnetic pull. Try google next time. It happened from me...

Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH

I've been amazed everytime I do a build on the Hana. It doesn't perform all that amazingly on low subohm setups, but build a 1.0-1.5 ohm coil and crank up the wattage and this thing kicks .... Easily compares to my 0.4-0.5ohm builds on my mechanical.
