I suppose you are right, but you can't really compare single/dual coils like that, because dual coils are technically both going to be 3.0 ohm coils to make a total resistance of 1.5 ohms. So, it's like comparing a single 3.0 ohm coils to a single 1.5 coil. The higher resistance will be cooler...
1.5ohms is 1.5ohms. The temperature should not be much difference assuming voltage to the atomizer is the same. Either lower wattages or higher resistance will get you a cooler vape. Air hole placement, coil height in comparison to air hole, and resistance are the main factors in vapor temperature.
Tried something "different", because I was bored. It was a failure, but I suppose it might work better if I wicked it differently. Lol. 15 wraps, split into 3 sections, 28G, 1.6ohms. Barely even fired on a mechanical.
What kind of cotton are you using? Try sterile rolled cotton if you haven't. Most other cotton(including organic cotton) is bleached with hydrogen peroxide, so if not boiled/cleaned extremely well, can cause some issues. The sterile rolled cotton is cleaned/sterilized using heat, so there's not...
Try some 28G wire. It's a lot easier to work with and IMO, works a little better for micro coils because the wraps fit together much more tightly than with 30G.
Been a while since I've been on/posted, but I stumbled upon this today:
QVapes Coiler | Congrevape
May have already been posted somewhere in the 500 pages of this thread, but it looks like Qvapes ripped off DarkZero's coil jig, unless they worked with him on it...
The russian isn't a dripper. Lol.
The IGO series is the best line for people looking to get into dripping, IMO. Simple, good build quality, and pretty cheap to top it off. There are plenty of aftermarket caps to make them look nicer as well. There's no reason to drop $100 on a dripper that...
A local shop re-opened in a bigger location, so I stopped by to check it out. They were out of the one juice I wanted, so I bought a redbull so that I didn't feel like I was completely wasting their time. Lol
I tried ekowool in my old genesis atty and it didn't work well at all, but some people seem to have no issues with it. Wrapping the wire too tightly can cause wicking issues.
If cotton is wicking slower than silica for you, you're doing it wrong. It's not even close in every silica/ekowool build I've tried. It can't keep up with micro coils, where the cotton has no issue at all. In my RSST, I can SEE the juice re-wicking while it is firing. I'm a strong believer in...
