    i just had i thought...maybe the center connection prong is pushed down, flip the base over and make sure that flat connection plate that touches the batt is in all the way...just a thought

    i never had an issue with the base, when i had a problem with mine (ego c) i had just cleaned it, and the base had water still in it( i should have let it dry over night) it caused the batt to shut down due to moisture i blew the base out reconnected everything and it worked. the second time...

    Im a newbie too, I can give you a little insight on the twist...I have one..well I have the standard ego c 2-650mah batterys and 2- 900mah batterys one is a passthrough and one is the twist...the 650mah last an 8 hour work day easy...the 900mah last me 8 work day hitting it hard and often...
