    First kit

If you're just starting out, you don't really need to get into a bunch of stuff that will drive you crazy, like building your own battery, and re-coiling your coils, and stuffing your own wicks. Alot of that stuff get pretty techy, beyond me... If you want just an easy to use and maintain...

    First kit

That's it. The atomizer (Aspire Nautilus Mini) screws onto the top of the iStick battery and you are good to go. That battery has the option to change watts and or voltage as desired. With the Nautilus, you may wish to start at 8 watts and work your way up or down. Watts will change the heat...

    First kit

No there's no DIY to this. It's a no nonsense setup and many of us swear by this setup. Hope this helps. I tried to Quote Sir2fyablyNutz. Didn't work...what he said

    hot weather and batteries

I actually have found just the opposite. Having lived in both Michigan and Florida, I can tell you that the heat drains the batteries faster. If you're thinking of like your car not starting on a cold winter's day...remember that things contract and oil gets stiff all causing a drag on your...

    New ecigs

I'd offer the suggestion like the first couple of posters. Go to your local vape store and do a hands on type thing. Talk to others and ask questions. You'll get what you pay for, so it stands to reason, more you spend, the likelihood will be a better vaping experience. Hardware was the easy...

    TC istick 40w

Ya, saw it mentioned in a different post. Guess they are all on a "Pre-order" basis. I'm delighted with my 1-20 watt and 2-30 watt iSticks. I'm too much of a rookie to know why you need Temp Control though...thought that's what watts/volts were all about.

I need help (quitting cig. & vaping)

:2c:Gonna chime in on this one. I've read all the posts on this and see several suggestions for the "Mini". I have to agree with that. At three packs a day, you're gonna be trying to over come a great deal. You'll have the nicotine thing going on and the motor action thing going on. I'm a...

    Ultrasonic cleaning question

That's kinda what I thought too. A bit overboard IMO. I guess if you wanted to clean a coil or something like that it would really help, I'm thinking though it might beat the ceramic wicks to death . If I'm having a flooding issue, I just run my atty under some HOT water, blow it out with...

    Ultrasonic cleaning question

Wondering if I use carb cleaner in it, if I can clean my weed eater carb................just kidding!!!

    Ultrasonic cleaning question

I kinda figure a good rinse and maybe a soft tooth brush might work just as well. Then again I only use simple atty's and change coils not clean them. (Nautilus Mini, and CE5's)

    Adjust voltage for flavour?

Let me offer this up to you as a suggestion. Since you are a self-proclaimed newbie, you're likely trying to find the right juice flavor for yourself. I too have the Nautilus Mini, and use that for my favorite (ADV [all day vape] juice). For my novelty flavors or for the fun of it flavors, I...

Would you go back to smoking if vaping was worse for you?

I'd have to find something to do with my hands. I'm nearing the 0 mg level as we speak, and am on a solid 3mg...so that I don't think would be an issue. All I've got now is the motor action thing going on, you know...hand to mouth, inhale, exhale thingy. Like Brokepainter said...hope nothing...

A fun fact for the anti-vapers

I just read this response, and I find it really out of character for an "Ultra Member" Really...inhale a 1/2 gallon of water? Must be getting your juice from Co.

Aspire Nautilus BVC's coils- Looking for alternatives for same tank

I've been using the Nautilus Mini for over 6 months and here's what I find: If you buy several coils at once, it seems likely that if you have one shaky coil, seems like you'll have two in the strip of coils. Bummer...but I have also found that by jacking your watts up for a bit (5-10 hits)...

    A whisker off topic

I guess I am a Senior Member since I'm turning 62 this Wed. I was hoping the Trophie points were for a free cup of coffee at McDonald:w00t:

    A whisker off topic

Looked to see where else I could post this, and yet here I am. Two questions: What are "Trophie Points" in our profile? Also, I know that I'm a Senior Member (not related to age) but what are the various statuses at ECF?

Since it's Father's Day, this makes sense. My dad is struggling with vaping, advice?

Number one, coming from a 62 year old (me), don't ride him. It sounds more like it's your frustration than his. At 64, how can you think of smokin' a waffle, or get your head wrapped around inhaling a cup of Joe. Seriously...get him some tobacco flavored stuff. Also, another suggestion is...

From cigs to vaping... help please

Addressing the first part: The hit and miss kind of sounds like a wicking issue. Big clouds when properly wicked and not so much when dry. I'll assume you stand your setup on end so that it can wick properly. Try different juices, and mixtures. Some folks are more tolerant to pg than others...
