    Run windows in virtualbox or another VM software. That should work fine for Mac, and Linux users can just use wine. That's not perfect by any means but very doable. tapped on my gNex

    It's just a firm/software installer, so you could do it at work or at a friends house. I wouldn't expect tons of firm/software updates, so it's probably not a big deal.
