These tests below only note the ESTIMATED ratings for these batteries at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This is one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers...
iIRC you can do this with a DPDT switch. There are schematics available online for examples. You’ll need a switch with a high enough current rating though.

How do I measure temperature?
I use a Fluke 52 II digital thermometer and type-k thermocouples, taped directly to the metal can of the battery during my testing.
Anything over 40°C-45°C starts aging the battery faster. This barely feels warm through a battery wrap. If the battery feels more...

Yes, Sony rates it at 30A. But it runs hotter than other batteries at their rating so I rate it at 23A to allow direct comparison of different batteries.
Batteries are typically rated for their expected use. The VTC4 was probably rated for power tool and other non-continuous use. Other...

With these chargers being so inaccurate when measuring IR it wouldn’t help much to do an IR tutorial. :) I recommend reading the IR at least five times, preferably more and taking the battery out and putting it back in each time, to try to get a really rough idea of what the DC IR is when using...
Charging to a lower voltage will increase overall cell life, especially if charging to only 4.0V. But that needs to be weighed against the shorter run time you’d get and more frequent charging you’d need to do.
How much of an increase in overall life you could get depends fundamentally on how...
